Re: Pricing help
Zack, Thanks for the info. If I were your client, I would be very much inclined to buy the digital file, since with shipping of one 4 x 6, I'm close to $10. For a mere $5 more, I can get the full size file and get it now, so it looks cheap by comparison. I am surprised you don't sell more files. The problem occurs when you… -
Re: Warning - Sports related Rant -
Randy: I am afraid I, too, am one of those dads you have trained. Now I live in Florida, so I doubt that I have taken money from you - but your help last fall when I was working on my football shots was invaluable. I shoot many of my son's HS games. I have taken football, basketball, soccer and baseball. I have posted many… -
Re: Photomerge
Thanks Gluwater and Rohirrim Hi Ginger, OK if you take a burst of shots, at the same zoom length, the size will be the same. Open a new File and size it to about 12 x 16 inches, it is not important but it wants to be bigger than your photomerge. Open all the shots in photoshop, then drag all of the shots into the new file,… -
Re: MotoGP - Phillip Island - Australia
No, I actually used a 400f2.8 with a 1.4 courtesy of CPS at the track. I took my 300f2.8 but didn't take my 500f4 becuase (like a turd) I figured I'd get intercepted at check in and have to check all of it due to weight (your only allowed two carry ons, max weight per piece 15lb) so I was pushing it with my digital… -
Re: email issues with blackberry 8300 (curve)
I don't know if this would help, but here are the full headers that I get when I send a photo from my LG Shine to my Gmail account (I've blocked out my email address and phone number, but it's normal in the real header) Delivered-To: xxxxxxxxx@gmail.comReceived: by 10.141.63.18 with SMTP id q18cs104145rvk; Thu, 18 Dec 2008… -
Re: New! Picasa Uploader
Oops -- can't upload video For kicks, and because it showed up in Picasa, I tried uploading a 30MB AVI file from my Canon S3. The Picasa Uploader thought it was just an oversized photo, and said it would crop it. Heh. So, you probably want to include some logic in there about a video having to be the lame-o MPEG-1 format… -
Re: Giving Away Copyright?
I know there is a lot of controversy on this subject but I have been a huge fan of Genuine Fractals since version 3......Now my local PRO PRINTER told me that for 6 or 8 mp there was no need to uprez my files to reach 30 x 40 inches....I figured he knew waht he was taking about as there are tons and tons of his printing… -
Re: Do what you have to....
I don't know how... ...but somehow I have survived just fine--so far--without any "L" glass: Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, Canon 28mm f/1.8, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, and Canon 50mm f/1.4. I don't even find myself wishing for a 24-70 f/2.8L. However, I'm not yet very well covered on the wide or tele ends. On the wide end, there… -
Re: Boots for tripod legs...
Moisture and Sand resistance... Yes, I love the Giottos tripod. I have not used all of the bells and whistles on this tripod but, I am very impressed with everything about it. I have recently used the Giottos to support a 30D with a 400mm f/5.6L lens and a manfrotto 3421 Gimbal Lens Support. That was a fairly heavy package… -
Re: basketball shot
lighting set up I used three lights for this shot- This was for a bar-mitzvah that I am doing. I live in a predominantly Jewish area and as it was bound to happen I started getting calls for bar/bat's. Now for me I want to be able to connect with my clients, not just show up the day of and shoot- so with weddings I include…
