Re: The price is right, but is the equipment?
I bought a similar backdrop stand from Adorama for $139. But it doesn;t come with a white backdrop. But I don't think a 10x12 sheet of white fabric is worth the $35 difference. I got a 11x20 white muslin for $50 a while back. Here is the link to the stand I got. http://www.adorama.com/JTB1012.html You might want white… -
Northern California farm field
Took this one in summer 2012 along Highway 139 in far Northern California. Didn't think much of it at the time: I thought it was kind of boring compared to another photo taken at same location of old railroad tracks. But this image caught my eye the other night because of the composition. Perhaps intentional -- or perhaps… -

Re: Scanner Advice?
Well, you get what you pay for. You can spend less, and get a scanner for the occasional family photo, or you can get one that will handle slides, negatives and highquality scans of photos. I doubt you need to buy a multi-pass high end scanner, but you will be hard pressed to spend much less than $100-!50 to get a decent… -
Very bad experience with EZ Prints...Where to go?!
Hi all! I am in the midst of a very bad experience with EZ prints. I made an order 2.5 weeks ago...got a confirmation email (this order was for $139 bucks mind you) and thought I was good to go! I waited about 1 week and never got a mailing confirmation (they mentioned in my confirmation email that I would receive notice… -

Re: Keeping business and personal separate
OK, I'm stumped... I can't figure out how to hide a category. Galleries, yes, as they get a unique id for their divs (and I've seen it in the page source). Categories do not seem to get a unique id... Code for the categories on the homepage looks like this... [HTML]<div class="miniBox"> <div class="photo"> <a… -
Re: External hard drive connected to camera?
I would recommend at least a couple 4Gb cards so you can swap out during the day. I currently use a 4GB in my 30D and have a 2GB backup card. If I fill the 4GB, I switch to the 2GB and plug the 4GB into my Wolverine FlashPac 7000 (60GB version), put it in my bag and let in copy the images while I continue to shoot. It's… -
Re: WTB: B+W filters
I've bought B+W filters from hvstar.net several times with complete satisfaction. Orders usually processed in a couple days. Air mail takes another week to cross the Pacific. Their products are genuine. Ordering the B+W 77mm and 72mm MRC UV 010 alloy ring filters from hvstar will cost you $86 ($49+$37) plus $19 for… -
Re: LensAlign...
Welcome to Dgrin! I got my LAPro recently, but haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet -- I'm especially interested in calibrating some very long lenses, and it's too cold here in NY to bother with for now. Your "challenge' is very interesting and I hope that someone provides you with the address you asked for -- it…
