I don't really have a burning question, just hoping to see Smugmug recover fast; unless you wanna me write about what that report that I attached was all about.

For what it's worth...
I been a customer of SmugMug's for a few years now and this is the first serious outage I've experienced.

Of course these things are all relative...but I mean it when I say it...your patience with Andy and the team will be rewarded with years of great service down the road.

Keep up the hard work guys and thank you for being such a great service to me and my customers.

It was a joke, and I think Andy got it. As for the news...<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Andy wont give a time guarantee or estimate and I have come to terms with that. So the only News we are waiting for is "We are Back Up!" and until then lets have a few laughs tell some stories and try and figure out what public library Andy is in tonight.

Any good SLA will be 99.99. Better ones are 99.999. It really doesn't matter though as you are not purchasing or bound by any SLA with a SmugMug account. I'm guessing there's quite a few who wish they were...
It matters to the service provider, who wants to give a certain level of confidence to its potential customers; and to the customers, who want to be assured of high availability.

So wait...

I thought Andy got paid minimum wage... $7.00 an hour just seems outrageous...

As for the janitor... I say we need a new cleaning service... silly janitor...

I understand that. I'm saying that you aren't guaranteed anything with SmugMug (or any other photo site as far as I'm aware) because you are not signing or agreeing to any SLA. You're paying for a service, but there's no SLA included therein. So it's a moot point, except, perhaps, for SmugMug themselves as a fallback on their provider(s).

the mere fact that some of you are questioning his existence is absurd. i, for one, interpret his short answers as an indication he's also involved in the resolution of this issue. i also find it considerate that he's able to respond to your allegations and questions in a timely manner.

i'm not trying to bantor, just hoping you'll give the guy a break and have faith that everything is what it is and all will be good in no time.

as i said, i own a forum and have many users with smugmug accounts. this down time also reflects of the quality of my site as well. i have an open mind and realize **** happens.

trust!

Read only mode is when we have that message at the top of your sites, photos are working (viewable) but you can't add photos, comments, or use the cart.

Andy,

The speed on my site is awesome. Did they find/repair a problem that was causing recurring slow-downs?

EDIT: Ah, I'm not complaining...just happy as a bee in a florist shop.
