Cj5 Here's a picture of only four wheel transportation. I've had it for around twenty years now and it recently turned 350K. It was built as way to offset the way they salt the hell out of the roads around here. The body is fiberglass and the roll cage, bumpers, nerf bars, spare tire carrier, dashboard as was as many other bits are stainless steel. I do a lot of free lance engineering work as well as welding and fabrication. It's a daily driver in the winter and has been on many wonderful adventures over the years. 2HE
That's one of those things that never even occurs to me until the opportunity has long since passed.

I knew the HDR I did wouldn't be that good, since I don't have a RAW image, but if you do, you could still attempt it with the single RAW. Multiple RAW's shot at say -2,-1, 0, +1, +2 would be better of course.
The flash could work, but you have to be carefull of the reflective tail lights.
I've been trying to think about doing the +,- shots more lately.
This was a quick edit in PS.
Some adjustments in black and mid points. Some saturation of blue and yellow.
Dodge the Jeep and bike 10% and reverse dodge the sky 10%
Sharpen
Hope the OP doesn't mind us playing with his image.

This image has fill flash to light up the Jeep. Was balancing the light in the tent and the moon. The silver Toyota took the moon light well but the Jeep was still very dark.

I don't mind at all. I'm not entirely convinced we own what we see, or even how we see it, so have at it. (I realize that's probably sacrilege around here)
It does. Especially the stuff that's mostly clay :yikes
I'm much older now and well over the plays-in-mud phase--or at least the car wash can get it off now
I had to go in for a full underbody wash. Luckily, being a small town it cost 150 INR ($3) for a 2.5 hour handwash thorough cleanup job.
In a big city it would cost twice as much.
This mud is salty, so I had to get the wash asap!

Yup, hell of a hill there, Natalie. :wow

That pic would be a good one for HDR.
Here's a quick HDR, hope you don't mind.

Not much better in my opinion. Key here would have been using a flash or flashlights to paint the Jeep with light.
The problem isn't the Jeep being dark but the horizon being blown out. HDR will not fix that- only make it worse.

As a kid, we used to take the 4x4's down to a muddy field and just play for the day. Pretty fun times...I would never do that today.
Mud sucks. What little I play in is always a pain to get off the jeep.
Snow is fun, and easier to get off the jeep.
It does. Especially the stuff that's mostly clay :yikes
I'm much older now and well over the plays-in-mud phase--or at least the car wash can get it off now
But actually I was thinking of going here
Its was barely a 100 meters from where I got stuck
I have had all the mud to last a lifetime now

Superwinch EPi 9.0 (9000 lbs). I could have used it on my last outing, luckily one of the guys I wheel with had one on his jeep....worked great.

Thanks, can't wait to get back out on the trail and get some more wheeling shots.
Planning a trip to Moab this May.
We should plan a "Jeep Thing" meet.
Oh, and nice pic, Jeffro.
