Not just rubbing, but articulation. It's like a control arm. Ideally you want it flat for maximum flex. At a steep angle, it's not going to articulate as easily. In that picture it looks like it would limit your uptravel.

They actually suggest a 10-15* upward angle, since there's more droop than uptravel (but also state that's not written in stone). The antirock is made for a 4" lift, and this is a 2" lift, so cutting down the link to the correct length, without cutting it too short is a step by step process. It didn't rub when I took it out before, and I'm going out again in March so I'll be checking it again. If it needs more trimming I'll do it then, but I don't want to jump the gun.
Here's how it looks now.....black eyes and all.
ps: it's not sitting level here, so the antirock is pushed up just a bit on this side...:D
All my jeep shots where taken with P&S. Here is one from around the last outing. It has been apart for a couple of years now, getting wider axles, 37's, new cage/sliders and a flat belly.

I thought I posted this but I guess not. Crappy picture but I took it just after I finished installing my new bumper. It's from Shrockworks and is a pretty nice piece of work--worth the wait (13 weeks). There's a Warn 9.5XP with a wireless remote buried in the bumper--the winch line is Amsteel--Jeff, what size line do you have on the Rubicon?

congrats on the permit and what a great way to learn to drive!
I thought it was going to be Dad's new toy - gone....as fast as it hit the driveway...license plate says "CllyByz" Frame says, "Jeeps are for Girls".
It's a Jeep I still drive it when she gives me the chance .

That's pretty funny. You could always just get a Rubicon

I have a couple of brackets to fab up--long story. And a small piece of stainless to add (between the bumper and skid plate). We are planning a trip soon.

Apparently he has a history of doing these little jumps. This was the second one he did on that day. The lower control arm bracket was ripped off the axle, bent a bit too. Luckily for him the ORV park has a shop and they got him welded back together for $35.

Wow..that whale was huugggee. There's always a next time for pictures
Amazingly enough, you can't really tell it's a whale unless you're standing on it. I was walking toward it to pick up some debris when I realized it was still there

They've been shortened since that pic, but they didn't rub at that length either, so maybe they were, maybe the weren't....:D
I'm going to check 'em again on the next trip out, see if the antirock rubs anything.

There's 80' of 3/8" Amsteel Blue synthetic line on there. I used it quite a bit yesterday. Only once for me though.
I have 100' of 5/16". Hope it's enough

Nah. I took the dog and we played. He found a dead whale (again--it's been there for a while). Here's a link to the original story.
Plus, it was kind of a drizzly day.
