I have been meaning to post this. The raptor, osprey, overlooking the shoulders of the egrets. When I posted it before I had CUT the heads off in the reflection thereby eliciting outcrys of protest, so I did the whole frame. This seems as good a place as any, since the problem was in the reflections. Sorry no silhouettes that I know of.

Actually I find it easier to get an sharp detailed shot than it is to get an effective silhouette shot. Thats why you see so few silhouette shots posted. Also your last two silhouette shots were fantastic.

I'm with Harry on this ,your shots were thumb.gif and I find it very hard to get a good one [silhouette] but that is in focus ect too but i do find soft shots to be easy as can be

The rare and seldom seen......tri colored umbrellican. This beautiful creature has a span of 4' and a very sturdy pole.

Birdman, Ilike your tri colored umbrella can, I am so tired of the very small tri colored herons that seem to be just about the only bird in this area anymore. Except the egrets. I don't think egrets ever totally go away!

I am missing my camera-can. I think it is going BY GROUND to Canon for repairs!
I want it back and now! It has been gone since 4 PM yesterday. At first it was rather relaxing.................been long enough now!

ginger (I will get my reflect shot, was posted on this forum recently, don't want it to go away!)

It is supposed to be an American Oystercatcher! As a coincidence, I was excited to catch this other American Oystercatcher on the same day! Same place, too, but one was to my right and the other one to my left.

They are indigeneous to Charleston: the local winter bird (s)! I did not know that they made a real bird just for us, too. And notice, they both have reflections! ginger
