This is a wonderful shot, Eric - what a scene! I'll guess that there weren't any other birds hanging out at the nearby feeders with this crew in place.:D I'm thinking that they are immature Cooper's Hawks . . .

Hi Eric (all the cool guys are named Eric :giggle)
Thanks! Yes, young Cooper's Hawks was my ID also... I could hardly believe my eyes!
I'm not big on feeder or bath shots - I prefer natural settings - but I could not pass this up!
We are in the midst of a punishing heat-wave, and I had seen individuals cooling off and drinking, but then 2 came at the same time and I thought that was cool, so, I got some clicks...
The next day I was looking through the viewfinder at 2 and there was a kerfuffle in the tree above, and then a third dropped down... whoa!
I started clicking like crazy... then, there was another kerfuffle in the tree, the 3 looked up, and in a few moments, the 3 had to scoot-over when the fourth dropped down - that's when my shutter finger got a little shaky!
It was very exciting to see!
We do have seed and nectar feeders pretty close by, and usually they are quickly evacuated when the Hawks come through... but, on this and several other really hot days,
the Hawks were content to just lounge in the water and the smaller birds seemed to feel less danger and everyone was doing their usual thing.
There are a plethora of bunnies and squirrels in the yard and I've seen the Hawks predating on the small mammals pretty often. Cheers!

Hawks x 4
Thanks gang, for sharing my enthusiasm on this capture... it probably was a rare and special natural event to witness - not to be often (if ever) repeated... especially when I am ready to click!
Antwerp is worth a visit. Especially for those who like beer. One pub has over one thousand different kinds of beer.
Next week the Tall Ships Race will be in Antwerp. Unfortunately I'll be in England (taking pictures of airplanes at the Fairford and Duxford airshows) I hope the weather will improve, since it has not been good lately.
