    sharing images have never been more difficult....

    I don't care if we get old "get a link" window back or if it is something entirely different but for please put something out there that is more user friendly than what you have now.

    Galleries
    Please bring back the Get A Link for galleries, too! That is how I always sent my clients the link to their online gallery after a shoot..

    You don't need Get a link for galleries to be able to grab the gallery URL. You can copy it from the browser address bar.

    Why do you guys mess with this stuff????I am starting to hate SMUGMUG
    Bring back the options to share pictures to Forums. Why do you guys mess around with this stuff?????
    How can I share my pictures now on forums with out the links???? I have tried to link with your guys new system, but I can't get it to work. Might be looking for something else other than Smugmug.......

    Using the new share copy the link of the photo and size you want. Then paste the red part in this.

    Yah Allen.....I have tried that with no luck....I am just about to the end of this stuff with Smugmug. That sucks too because I have a lot of images with these idiots.

    The forum that I am trying to show work on doesn't have the Link button. All it has is the IMG button.

    And for the life of me......I don't understand why that IMG with a link to the photo doesn't work. It works with Flicker and Photobucket........but nothing with Smugmug.

    Really sucks.........

    In that case, you need the whole image URL:

    {img]https://cdn.smugmug.com/photos/i-QRGFDFn/0/S/Ivory Gull-S.jpg[/img}

    You'll have to change the brackets { } to square braces [ ].

    You guys messed up so badly that I started uploading to flicker. I will look for another site. There is now way I am going thru that for ten shots for a couple forums I am on. Sorry but you stepped in it pretty good.

    I got it to post finally. It took me 8 hours to get it figured out. But WOW.....SMUGMUG...you need to fix this ASAP.

    So.... when can we expect the BB Code share function to be re-instated? It's getting to be quite the PITA to have to upload my photos to PhotoBucket in order to share them on forums....

    We're working as fast as we can to bring it back but all I can say is "soon". We need to do it right so that everyone can be happy and just like any home renovation, once you start digging, you uncover other things that need fixing. But we understand and are working to add it back as quickly as we can.

    Share Feature
    Either I am missing something or with the new share feature I am not able to get a series of links for photos I want to include in a blog post without having to go back to each photo one at a time. I am hoping it's the former and I am just missing something -- can someone enlighten me? If not, I really don't like the new design -- what used to be a 2-click process has now become a 4-5 click process for each photo ... that's a bummer.

    We're working on making it so you can use the left/right arrows to navigate between photos. Stay tuned.

    Yes, it changes depending upon which OS you're using. It does that even now.

    Easiest is copy the browser URL, address bar, at the top.
    For Facebook I go to the a photo in the gallery that I want shown on FB then copy URL.

    While the gallery link is always available in the URL address bar, we will be adding a gallery
    URL to the "Gallery" tab, I just didn't include a screenshot of it.

    I'm just now checking this new panel.
    Video links are not to lightbox, but to the video itself, immediately and easily downloadable. Is this correct behavior?

    The intention was that the share panel went to your embed links, since you could get the lightbox quicker and easier from the address bar. We've since learned that people feel more comfortable going into a tool to get it, so the lightbox links will be added back into the next version of the Share Panel (coming soon). Embed links also will be only visible to you as the owner

    Ahead of the upcoming US holiday, we wanted to get this out to you... The new version of the Share Panel is now live! It adds:
    - BBCode is back!
    - gallery and lightbox links are back
    - full screen slideshow links are back
    - the share panel can be moved
    - use left/right arrow keys or click on another photo while the share panel is up, and the share panel will update with links to new image. Useful for embedding multiple photos or getting share links to them.
    - other tweaks

    Everything works on mobile, except the sharing tab is hidden, some mobile devices have social sharing built into the web browser.
