Thanks...They have a flat bottom and were designed to be able to run in shallow water. The air boat was originally invented by 17 year old Harry Miller back in 1913 in this town out of necessity. Back then some boats were using outboards, but couldn't use them during the dry seasons, so the guy took a flat bottom boat (usually propelled by polling back then) and fastened a small motor and a propeller from an air plane.
