    You're right of course. I don't think dear old dad would spend more on a car for me (those go for $25k pristine) than he spent on himslef :cry

    Hey kid, it's called brand image... you know where they got the idea? A certain shop in Bavaria is the king of this, big companies have been trying to get that kind of design consistency across the board for decades.

    That's always been one of the things I liked about BMW's. Not nearly at the top of the list like perfect balance and dynamics to die for, but it's nice that they know who they are and all the cars show it. Take a look at Volvo, Audi, and Saab over the past 10 years. Heck, it's evident in the rampant renaming they've done to make all their cars consistent. It's no coincidence that BMW has had 3-, 5-, 7- for decades and just in the last one have the other makers followed suit.

    I always thought BMW meant Bring More Wampum, but Metzler says it means Bet Metzlers'll Do.:D:D

    Actually, I never knew BMW made cars,........until I passed one on my BMW R1150GS:):

    Then, I figured I'd better have one of eachclap.gif
