OK, so as not to be completlely dense and dumb, I take it that the customizations need to be enabled in order for my customizations to work 11doh.gif ! Go figure.

That got it going. Well that my brain cramp for this week!

Thanks a lot Allen! Amazing how something so frustrating can be so darn small at times! thumb.gif

Yal, the hint was the CSS was added for BZT. Need active CSS for it to
work. It's the little things that can be flustrating.:D
Glad you got it working, don't forget you have to turn on originals for it to
    work.

Did the addition of new imae sizes break BZT? I have 'largest size' set to original, but BZT still barks at me that it needs access to the originals.

    What gives?:cry

You're probably still using the old code. Make sure you get the latest code from the wiki (see first post in this thread) thumb.gif

Going insane trying to get it to work...
I'm in a bit over my head here, but the last BZT worked for me (before the revamp of the site) and I desperately want to get this one to work but I can't figure it out. I cut and pasted into the right bits, it has access to orignals set, it's on custom...

I've tried changing settings many different ways (in the manner of someone who has no idea how a computer works) but I am still stumped. Any ideas?

It seems the new sizes have killed the BZT again. I have the current version & clicking the BZT checkbox only activates the control box DIV. However, other than that it doesn't do anything. :cry Oh, and it makes SM think that it's processing photos, so you can't do anything with them for a while. :cry :cry

Thats probably the problem because this past weekend after I uploaded a bunch of new photos I tried the bulk zoom with the old code and it was a no go. Did not work at all, so I put in the new code and it worked right away.

I tried putting the header code in and it knocked out my slideshow on my home page...meaning that the slideshow frame was still there but no images...any thoughts? I took the code out for now

    Thanks for this hack

I've always been able to run it on private galleries--that's how I make certain the originals aren't available while I'm running it.

Oddly... I ran BZT last night and got a couple of error "access to originals" required, even though originals were enabled. The boxes went away and BZT ran just fine. Tried it again this morning, and it took FOREVER to zoom the thumbs-- we're talking 16 minutes per thumb. I finally bailed. Seems like it runs smoothest as an overnight task. headscratch.gif

BZT is not working for me. :cry Just ran it on a gallery overnight and in seven hours, never got beyond the "pending" message. Is it working for everyone else? I do have the latest code and it worked just fine earlier this week. Any ideas or assistance would be appreciated.

I ran it last night without issue. A bit slow but from what I have gathered its dependent on the load of SM at the time.

Thanks guys. Must be on my end. I'll try it on a different computer and network. I am trying it on galleries with 200+ photos, but I've done that in the past with no probs too. Strange... headscratch.gif

No, I don't think so. I tried again last night on a different machine. The best I could get was a page with Smugmug style, or 20 images with All Thumbs style. Then it dies. Something's up with it since the smugmungous update. Browser doesn't matter either, I've tried FF & IE7 with the same results. :cry For now I have to do my crops the old way, one-at-a-time. Ouch.

    Bulk Zoom Thumbnail
Im trying to use the bulk zoom thumbnail and everything works fine on the first page of my the galleries but when I go to the second page it doesn't seem to want to work.

Im getting the bulk zoom box to come up and then I select the 1:1 ration but I'm not getting the blue boxes to come up.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, you need to do it in "all thumbs" view. In smugmug view, it will only zoom your first page.

Same error code here. Originals are turned on. This doesn't make any sense as it worked last time I did it a few weeks ago.

    Suggestions?

The Javascript was at the bottom of the JS section, so I moved it to the top (if that helps), and the CSS and headers are in the right spots, at least I think they are.

I stripped out my customizations last week to test out just the BZT and I still had the same problem...

    Thanks for the help guys...

I tried to use the bulk zoom tool for the first time last night following the Wiki instructions however I had no success :cry

I have had to remove the code from my website as it removed the new Shazim's slide show from the front page and stopped the website from going into the galleries page.

It was a simple cut and paste of the three sections of code from the Wiki site into the relevant customisation sections. Once I removed this code the slideshow on the homepage returns and I could again access my galleries pages.

Any ideas why this would occur?

    Craig.

Updated to the non-table code. Updated the Javaacript to version 2.6 of the hack.

    All works now!!!

I just did a search and found this greasemonkey script (for us Firefox users), which seems to work better than the hack (at least it doesn't slow my machine down as much). See this thread: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=71394

    [UPDATED August 27, 2007 v2.6] -

The limitations at this point in time are...

Wondering if you could update the origanal post again to include some basic 'how to' info. I just added this to my site but it would have been soooooooooo much easier if the following was included right from the start such as...

In order for BZT to work you:
    - must temporarily enable access to size "origanal" photso (However you can add a password to dissable access to others while BZT is in use. Note: Once you've finished using the BZT on that gallery you can then dissable origanals again and remove your password.)
    - you should copy and paste codes to notepad and clean the code (add line breaks) or the code gets really messy and may cause problems or even bork your page (not sure if that's what caused my problems or not).

I found one gottcha while copying the code that really threw me off untill I found it. A < was missing at the beginning of the xhtml code.

Other issues resolved I may have forgot to mention can be found here:

    This is a great Trick
    David,

I can't thank you and everyone else enough for the work on this. It's great. I'm using the latest version with Mike Lane's Tableless code (seems to be a little faster).

But I do have a question, I'm not sure if this would be part of creating the thumbs or some where else but I would like to put a boarder around all the thumbs. Is there a place to set that in hack or is it somewhere else?

Kind of like Andy has with the tan lines and boarders on everything I'm working to get the blue from my logo all over my site for a unified look.
