I'm re-discovering DGrin (I joined around December 2006, but was without my computer for a couple months due to repairs, and forgot about the forum until this week), and I have to say that I'm really impressed. Not only is the interface great, but also the people are really helpful, responsive, and friendly!
I'm coming from FredMiranda (which I joined sometime last Fall), and sometimes it's hard for a post to be noticed, much less get any comments and critiques!
Here's my mug!

Hello all. I am new to the site. A friend from work told me to check out the site and to get tips. I only have a point and shoot Panasonic DMC-LX9, but manufactured my own "lenses" for purposes of taking macros. So any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Can't see investing unless I truely beleive I am somewhat good enough. The photos here are amazing.

This is my first post after joining & creating a pro. account about 8-days ago.
I'm in my 2nd year of using a DSLR, but have been shooting off & on for many years. First film and point & shoot.
Love cyling (Lance Armstrong type), backpacking, anything outdoors here in the Spokane, WA area.
I've been impressed with reading the newcomer's feedback to all the support provided here.
Now that I've provided this, my first post, I'm requesting help in creating my personal homepage here on smugmug. I'm guessing questions regarding this go somewhere else?
Hi Diff,

am new here myself, and it's really great, the people and their
beautiful, really amazing photos; still trying to figure out how to do things,

Hello! My name is Leonardo and I'm living in Croatia, small country by Adriatic sea.
My first language isn't English, so I hope you'll understand misunderstandings due poor knowledge of syntax, phrases and misspellings too.
Am I complete amateur in photography? Yeah, that's true. But I'm trying very hard to do the best I can do. The way I view my photography attempts is expressive impressions of occasionaly extroverted introvert.
hi Leonardo,
hello my name is loi, have a friend who is from Croatia, she takes beautiful black and white photos; your photos are great;
photography is its own language...welcome
My name is Ninon, and I am a french canadian woman who recently discovered a new passion... photography! I live about an hour from Quebec city, and spend an awful amount of time online looking at other amateur photographer's work! lolll
