I'm new here and hoping to learn a lot. I'm fairly new at this whole photography thing and need a lot of work, but I do take criticism well. Here is my shot of me.

Newish here, joined a year ago, but somehow lost the site, coming back via recommendation from a close photog friend. Love photography, have for many years, but am only an armature with no desire to be a pro, love my hobby....

A new try
Here's my best one from a 150-shot session the other day. Keep in mind that they were done in 3-shot bursts on my timer. Since I was using my "good" camera as a prop, I had some issues with sharpness on my face when I used the Canon S2IS.
Hello there! I'm new, and I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Kat, but everyone usually calls me Switchie (it's short for my longtime internet name of 'switchbladeserenade').
I'm not very good at photogrpahy (imo) but I want to learn. I'll probably lurk alot. Anyways, here is a photo of me, taken by me. This was taken last Spring, at the park near my home in Kentish Town, London. I've since moved back to America, but I did love that place so much.

Name is Andrew and i have been taking photo's for 1 or 2 years started out with film and have many handed down SLR's due to this and just recently moved to digital with a Nikon D40 I am looking for some good C&C on my photo's.
Delurking again
I already posted my latest self portrait in my "delurking" post yesterday, but what the h... - here it is again. Let's see if I can link that to my micro-gallery with self portraits (2 so far, more as I can get rustle them up / scan them):
OK... gallery link seems to work; for now you could go there to see a larger version of the self portrait though - the only other picture so far is the small one that I use as an avatar here (and in some other places). I'll leave the link though: it'll be more fun once I have more pictures in there (including some truly awful ones :giggle ).

Just took this so-called self portrait today. It was very "interesting" doing it as I don't have one of those cable release thingies!!:D
I look a little like "dear in the headlights", and I'm sure my mother would tell me to stop slouching, but oh well!
Glad to have you join us.

This is me about a hour or so before my prom:
where's my hair ... is it gone?!
Negative! But something else has left of my head.
I'm not sure is this how I see myself through camera, looks like horror. Maybe it's better how the other people see me... though:D
