Re: Mini Challenge #160 - Chairs
OKC Memorial. From the website: "The 168 chairs represent the lives taken on April 19, 1995. They stand in nine rows to represent each floor of the building, and each chair bears the name of someone killed on that floor. Nineteen smaller chairs stand for the children. The field is located on the footprint of the Murrah… -
What a blast to be here!
[IMG][/img] This actually happened to me and I got this image/screen shot from my dash mounted video camera shooting at 30 frames per second and 168 Degree wide angle lens. Apologies for the quality, but I figured it was worth sharing. This occurred in Kandahar on Dec 15th 09. It was buried in the road and was triggered… -
Re: Problem - SmugMug domain works, mine doesn't.
I have the opposite problem. Your dankoop.com address comes right up, but dankoop.smugmug.com doesn't respond at all. In fact I haven't been able to get to my own site all week. Wait, wait, it just came up finally. And it's fast now. Well what do you know? It stopped working last Thursday night, and here it is the next… -
Re: Color block behind Multiple Photos widget
Yes. Depending on what you want it to look like, you can add margin to increase the spacing between the widgets. Adding padding will increase the content within the widget. If you want to add padding, you'll have to add it via CSS. If you want to add margins, you can just add that to the widget. This will add 20px… -
Hs Baseball shot with Nikon D1h
It is not great compared to the newer cameras, but it did a decent job coupled up with a 300 2.8. AF is quicker than my d50, but the grain is more. It was an overcast day so I shot at ISO 400 for quicker ss. However, some of the blame on grain lies with me because I shot in manual mode as the home team was wearing dark… -
FS: Hyperdrive SPACE w/ 120GB drive
This is a virtually unused Hyperdrive SPACE portable memory card reader/backup storage device "thing" with a 120GB hard drive installed. Great for folks who go on extended shoots or weddings who want to offload or backup their cards. I tend to have a laptop with me, so it's basically gone unused! Also includes an A/C… -
Re: More INDY CAR From Mid-Ohio
I am really confused now, According to the Depth of field calculator that I am using there is no way that at the parameters you have given (focus point on helmet, 20 yards) and the EXIF data (D300, f11. 80mm) of the photo the DOF would not have been that shallow. The calculator I used says the DOF would be from about 36 to… -
Re: Lens advice - Canon medium telephoto zooms
I see in your profile that the 105 macro and the 70-200 f/4L are "dream lenses" for you. Have you considered picking up the macro first which becomes an "168 equivalent" FL for your telephoto needs as well as advancing your passion for macro photography? I started with the 70-200 f/4L as my first lens purchase years ago,… -
Invalid XML Format on REST response
It appears that an element's text returned from a REST may not be encoding extended characters properly. I'm seeing it one several of my photo's Caption fields. For example: http://jayandshell.smugmug.com/gallery/361508/1/14444233/Medium On a call to smugmug.image.getInfo, the return had a badly encoded character at byte…
