Couple of insects shots from this afternoon
There was a small adult froghopper in the garden, the Philaenus spumarius - a bit of a master of disguise; they can be a variety of colours and shades on a theme. Here it is (admittedly rotated 90 degrees for aesthetics and viewing) on the tip of a seedhead of an Aquilegia. They do little harm to plants in Britain, though… -

(The Colour Red) - Love Tomato Soup
We have another set theme comp coming around next week at the camera club, and I just know there will be loads of colour popping of RED going on, and phone boxes and buses and ER mailboxes and such. So I tried to go for something a bit different in the hope that the judge at least gives me points for something more… -
Re: help? i`m looking for a tripod
I spent a lot of time and research selecting a tripod and finally selected the Slik Pro700DX. It's a very tall, very sturdy tripod and the weight is not an issue in my case since my shooting environment is urban and I'm not carrying it up mountains, etc. With both leg extensions fully telescoped, you will have little need… -

Re: Clingman's Dome Sunrise
Dixie, Thank you for the insight on the long exposures (the weight bag and mirror lock up). I worry about 'noise' that I've noticed on some long exposures, even at ISO200, which is the lowest sensitivity on a Nikon D70. Noise Ninja helps, but it would be nice to not have to deal with noise to begin with. Like you, I shoot… -

Re: Robots.txt Unreachable - Sitemaps
I just wonder - how many weeks / months does it take for my site index to be updated in my sitemap? As I was saying before - the last time it was updated was only days after I began setup for my site back in the beginning of October. None of my current pages are listed in the file - aside from the fact that gwt says google… -

Err 99 on Canon Digital SLRs · Apr 29, 01:53 PM by Simon Mackie So you just changed lenses and go to take your picture, but the camera locks up, with the dreaded words “Err 99” on the screen. What just happened? Error 99 means that camera has had a problem, but it’s not sure what it is – not very helpful! Canon suggest you…
