Hey, Baldy, it would be great if these mugs could go into production for sale to us other grinners. What do you think?

You can always order a mug with your own image, or with almost any other smugmug photo, can you not?

No problem. This is the daughter of a close friend and I already submitted to KPotD with mother's approval.
    If not now, when?

Baldy, I love the Betrand Russell quotation. I didn't know it, but Russell was a hero of mine when I was a philosophy major in the early 70s.

Me too. I have to say it's the most powerful one of the lot, especially combined with that shot of the skyline.

    Am I wrong?

Probably not a quote that you want to use, but one I just read that made me laugh:

"How long was the exposure? f8 and a dry martini" Ian Bradshaw

(in reference to a shot he took at night of the Rock of Gibraltar, in a long exposure, and I actually paraphrased the first half. The f8 and a dry martini are literal, though)

I found another quote I wish I could use from Ken Auletta, a business book writer these guys would know:

Always point your finger at the chest of the person with whom you are being photographed. You will appear dynamic. And no photo editor can crop you from the picture. -Ken Auletta

I bumped up the font a size after posting it so it will be a bit more powerful for the mug.

Upon further review, I decided this sky did more to shore up Ansel's quote:

    22370021-L.jpg

than the sky in this one:

    22366451-L.jpg

I'll try to find another quote for that last one.

New quote. Not quite as in tune with the audience, more in tune with photographers, so I have some misgivings:

Digging around for good quotations for you I found two by Avedon:
Beauty can be as isolating as genius, or deformity. I have always been aware of a relationship between madness and beauty.

Just advertising departments with legs and high heels.

Just shorten that first one to "..a relationship between madness and beauty." or just "... madness and beauty."
    If not now, when?
