Posting EXIF data
Hi.......I am having problems linking my EXIF data with my posted photo which has been previewed.
I am getting a blue box with a question mark.
I tried to copy the link under "photo information" by right clicking as shown in the "How to Post a Photo" in Dgrin
Currently, I have my picture which posts properly, but no EXIF data
can someone literally "walk" me through this "linking EXIF" please.....

“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.”
So you can see what I did, here I've added *'s to break the tags and allow you to see what it looks like. To make this correct, you would remove the *'s:

Why do I not see at the bottom of the image like I've seen on so many
"EXIF" ?
You need to do that.
Basically, there are three ways to post a URL.
1) Basic. [*url]yoururlhere.com[*/url] --this is what you did, above.
2) With custom text. [*url=yoururlhere.com]your custom text here, such as EXIF[*/url] -- this is what you're asking to do.
3) with an image [*url=yoururlhere.com][*img]your image url goes here (the one you use to post a pic)[*/img][*/url] -- this makes the image clickable, and when clicked takes you to the url specified, such as EXIF.

Make sense?

Don't fully understand how to make the image "clickable"
What I think I understand is
1. Post my EXIF first [*url=yoururlhere.com]
then, I'm lost.....are you saying that you then place the "image" next?
Sorry, I'm so new at this....I'm getting it slowly however.

Now then. I've been looking for posts on how to get the best quality photo in our posts without the photos being too large a file size. (I use PE 7).
Can you point me in the direction of any info on that?
As long as you are linking pics (as opposed to attaching), you don't have to worry about file size. Just do whatever gets the best quality on the hosting site and it will look the same on Dgrin. You should, however, try to make sure that the pic can be seen in most browsers without scrolling, which makes it easier for the viewer to appreciate the composition.

Thanks! Not sure what rock I've been under (ha!)--I did not know (or probably forgot) about any change(s).

Hmmm, I'm confused. Have posted for several years on ADV rider with my PC and now am clueless with the new Imac

You've got an extra // before the http. If you take that out, it works fine:
Congrats on the new iMac!

I still don't understand why I get an extra
What am I doing wrong to get the extra code?
Thanks, by the way. I love this site!
Because Photobucket adds the extra codes. Just copy from Photobucked and paste directly into a message on Dgrin.

GOT IT
I'm not seeing it. Check external links and hide photo, maybe.
Dgrin FAQ | Me | Workshops
That's strange...I see it.
Did you visit the page that the photo is on?
Dgrin FAQ | Me | Workshops
I see that your gallery has external linking set to OFF. Can you turn them on?
Customize gallery > Security and Privacy > External linking > Yes
So far only people who have visited your gallery can see the image.

Nope. She must have had external links on at the time I looked at post 200, and now I have it cached.
Hi All,

You linked an entire web page, not a picture.
