We'll be meeting "officially" on May 17th @ Ruby's Inn at Bryce N.P. Probably mid-late morning.

    More info as I decide/create it :D

Darn, I guess we'll be a bit late.. We'll take off from LV around 8:30 am, google maps says it's about 250 miles, 5 hr drive, so we most likely arrive around 2 pm ne_nau.gif

Nik you can always goa day earlier and spend a day in Vegas? That is my plan as I don't intend on flying for 4-5 hrs to Vegas and than get in a car and drive another 5.

I havent been to bryce or zion in a very long time. Not being a landscape shooter, what kind of gear would someone need for this trip? I have a lot of lenses covering 20mm to 200mm and soon to 400mm.

I'm pretty sure I can get the time off at work and this sounds like a fun trip.

Feeling pretty lazy, I didnt read all 13 pages, are people splitting cars/ Suv's to get around?

Sounds like you have plenty of glass - and don't worry - there's lots of sharing on these trips deal.gif

Yes, we'll organize sharing of cars, vehicles etc.

For me it's just one hour flight (LAX --> LAS) ... And I already booked it, so, I guess, it's my carma:-) Oh, well, there will be 4 of us in the car at least, so we can switch:-)

    Cheers!1drink.gif

I'll be driving up from the LA area through Vegas. Anyone interested in a carpool? I will not be doing the post shootout, so I would drive up on the 16th (looks to be about 10 hours driving, plus stops). Drive back on the 21st.

Are you taking HWY 14 up to 58, then to the 15? If so, I might be on your way. I need to check my schedule, but I might be interested.

Actually, I was thinking about 210>15. Don't know about 14 and 58...does that still make sense for us?

The only reason I say that is because I'm in the Antelope Valley (Lancaster/Palmdale), which is North of the 210>15 intersection. So from my location it makes more sense to go north first on the 14, then take Hwy 58 East to 15 (instead of going south on 14 to then go north on 15). If you would rather not take that detour, no problem. I'm guessing it probably adds about 30-45 minutes to your drive.

Oh, I see. Heck, at 10 1/2 hours, what's another 1/2? PM me and we can talk further...

I really want to go but am very confused. Can someone answer my questions?

1.) Lets say I come into Vegas in the day of the first shoot early am, then what? I mean will we be all leaving from there or will I need to rent a car? Im only 23 and dont think they will let me rent one, let alone the added cost. Could someone meet me there. I can pay for gas etc.

2.) Is it good to come in a day before and then leave the day after? I take it I would then need to find a place to stay in vegas or the surrounding area huh?

If my fears can be calmed I am all about that and will send Andy off the $$ ASAP. Let me know, thanks.

get to vegas on the 16th - there'll be cars leaving crack of dawn on the 17th. Yep, plan on sharing cost for your car seat for the four days.

hurry if you want in, only a couple spots left.
