I've finally got the nerve to unveil, so here it is. I went simple with this one. Only thing I want to change right now is the text link colors for login and my email (on about page) and can't figure out how to do it without messing up my navbar stuff.

Possibly, which rounded elements did you want a shadow on exactly?

For the rounded corners with drop shadows I'd want them on the Gallery/Browse pages (http://www.digi-scapes.com/browse) and the galleries within (http://www.digi-scapes.com/Landscapes) and (http://www.digi-scapes.com/Landscapes/ColorLandscapes)

I'm pretty sure he's here on DGrin somewhere, as I've seen that site before, you might be able to ask him.

If you're just talking about that vertical strip of galleries, that looks like a Galleries block whose layout has been set to Vertical, and the image crop set to 3x1.

As for the strip gallery, I'm talking about the horizontal stips as seen in his gallery. He is on dgrin but as happens from time to time, I think my message to him got lost in labyrinth of treads.

Great looking sites! It's going to take me awhile to figure out the customizations that you all have. Mine is very simple, I love how much cleaner and brighter it looks to my old site. I'm still trying to figure out how to make an "About Me" sort of link on my menu, and perhaps make my thumbnails larger within the galleries, but for now:
    http://aprilmartellphotography.com

your link doesn't work - or it isn't loading up...

You might want to change the width of some of your pages to Stretchy (on the "layout" tab), the photos are very small in one corner of the screen currently:

Thanks...I changed New York and Texas only to start off with to Stretchy. Does that look better?
If so, I'll change the rest.

I noticed this too, it takes forever for my site to load! It DOES load, but if most people are like me, if a site doesn't load in a few seconds, they move on. Thanks for letting me know, I wondered if it was just on my end.

Great images, Doug! Love the Homepage!

411 links don't appear to be working. Background images are a little distracting, especially when the bird's head is cut off and I keep looking for it! :):

Thanks Karen. For the 411 links, are you getting a page not found or just nothing happening
when you click on something? If nothing is happening, what browser and version. Cause for
me, what will happen sometimes is, I'll visit one of my bird galleries lets say. Then for some
reason, my menu links don't work any more. I'll refresh the page and everything is ok again.
I think I'm using IE 8 at work when this is happening to me.

Also, if you just hover over the 411 links, are you at least seeing the URL that it's suppose
    to be going to?

Also the "Love this share it" in about me - shouldn't you have it set up that when you click on it, nothing happens? As opposed to it going to a full screen view. A quick fix in the settings part of the block.

Thanks! I didn't even realize this was happening. This is why it's great to have other eyes looking it over:)

The browse page has a black background, so you won't see them there. But try this code for the other pages:

/* Avoid the right edge of Collage galleries from being cropped off */

Wow,y'all got some killer sites. bowdown.gif

Im no where near the caliber of most folk here, but thought I would share my little dark corner on Smugmug.

Im not a pro, and only do this for a hobby, but was trying to make my new site look like my old site. Unfortunately last night I changed something, and the galleries dont open on a new page, but will work on it again. Being computer stupid, the new customization features are great, so I wonder how I can even mess that up. headscratch.gifscratch
Im hoping over the weekend to try something totally new and out there. Will share when it is done.

    Ok...for your laughing pleasure. rolleyes1.gif

Chiller, you're doing some interesting work. Somewhat dark, no question, but lots of skill and humor going on here as well. Gahan WIlson must have started the same way. I quite like what you're doing. Don't think I'll hire the cellar for sleepovers though. It would be a real add-on for me if you had some captions so we knew where and what was what but it'syour choice and you did well and good to see your in Toronto, too.
    Cheers man,
By the way, the cellar is hilarious -did you know- once you get into the cellar thee is no way out. Yikes.

New to dgrin and here to share my site. The migration was scary, but upon arrival to the new setup I found most of what I had on the old site was implemented nicely. Once I have the time to dig into the features more I hope to expand . I'm aiming to make a site with more community aspects to it as I advance into more video oriented things. So far the site seems mostly complete on a usable level. Probably will add more to the about section later. So with that here it is:

    http://bda.smugmug.com/

If anyone has suggestions to push more towards a community oriented site (if at all possible) I'm all ears.

Hey Shane, very nice site. Your logo on both my computers is shifted to the left and off-screen slightly. Perhaps increasing the left margin for that box will fix that. Can you tell me what that margin is set for? -knowing that might help me with mine (where I have the opposite problem.)

Kevin -- beautiful pictures. You also have the issue I have -- When I resize the window on your gallery, the thumbnails stay the same (they do not update to the new size of the window, nor do they change when you change the page or the image shown by clicking the arrows).

(on Firefox, on a mac, also in ipad).

    Thanks and cheers,

I noticed that when I first looked at the site in IE (no problems in chrome or firefox). I had the viewing % set to 125% on IE. Once I set all my view sizes to 100% in all three browsers it seemed to be properly placed. Although this morning it was running the logo off the left side in Firefox only.

I've increased the left margin to 50px and the container width to 35%. That seemed to fix it, but it was working fine yesterday?

(I think it's an issue with all the thumbnail views, not sure if they all come from the same template).
