Here is what I have come up with so far. I still have more I want to change, but I figure this is a start. Any and all feedback welcome!

Nice job. I noticed though the photo links look broken on the About Me and Pricing pages.

Also the "Love this share it" in about me - shouldn't you have it set up that when you click on it, nothing happens? As opposed to it going to a full screen view. A quick fix in the settings part of the block.

Well since I was in the process of changing my Wordpress site, I figured I'd go ahead and change my SM site as well. I tried to make the new SM site match my Wordpress site. I had to create a custom navigation bar so I could match my WP site. I wish we could use Javascript so I could use my Wordpress slideshow instead of the standard slideshow.

All and all, I'm pretty pleased with the new Smugmug. I can't believe I just said that because at first I was cursing it...Laughing.gif!!

My photography site - Photographs from around the state of Arizona. My thought was that people will browse sites the way I do. That is only browse for a few seconds unless something really catches their eye.

Your SmugMug site looks great. I was a fan of your previous design. Nice way to freshen it up.

    Here's mine.

Spent the last 5 days or so tweaking it until I was happy with it. Love how it renders on my phone!

    Unveiled mine today.

I'm getting positive feedback but have one question about keywords again. I googled winnipeg photographers etc and I found my site but all the keywords showed.

I thought I had the problem solved by adding code to CSS. Any other advice on how to hide keywords?

Unfortunately, the Google search indexer doesn't read CSS, so anything you put in there won't affect the way it works. I don't think there will be a way to hide these from it, apart from making sure that there is a good description on the gallery and hoping it will pick that for the text snippet shown to the user instead.

Isn't that what the "preview" mode is for, when you are customising? That way, when you're happy, then you publish it.

You would think, but in preview mode I could see my logo so it doesn't work the same as "Visitor view" in legacy worked.

Unveiled just now. Pretty much matched my old site in most ways except the full screen slideshow homepage. I do like the clean look of the new templates though.

Did a few basic CSS customizations, but nothing much. Had to redirect my blogger links as those changed as well.

    Would love some feedback!

Nice soft background on the homepage.

You may want to capitalize the "A" in before/after to be consistent

Just fixed it.. thanks for the heads up.

Thanks Caroline. I started with NYX, then I went to town on the CSS. Most of the changes are subtle, and much of it I was able to do using the built-in customization options. I added some of my own CSS for the rest of it to do things like high resolution logo graphics for rendering on a Retina display, for example, and tweaking the alignment of various things.

I have one of mine done... well somewhat. I still have a few tweaks to do still but it is done for the most part. I am still working on my other one. Maybe in the next week or so it will be ready.

I like the speed of your slideshow. Some others are quite slow starting up. I think the average client wants to glance quickly at first look.

Ok, thanks again digital pins - I see how it's done. My photos aren't consistent aspect ratios, so I may abandon ship on a slideshow, but it looks great on yours!

At the moment, I'm still twiddling, currently using Duke; this is a bit penny plain, but it coordinates with my logo and blog (which is where my domain is pointed). Now that SM is so much snazzier, I may well point the domain to the smug site and just have the blog be the standalone page instead of the other way around....

Much work still to be done, but I do like the collage front page and the MUCH better looking (and easier to create) navbars :) I kinda like having black bg around the photos themselves too; keep switching between Duke's native color and the white duotone. :)

I really like your menu titles....... gets down to business.

    Thanks for looking!

I'm not a fan of the rounded corners but your site changed my mind. Really nice!

Jef I was just looking at your site to see the new site examples. Really a very cool site. I have a dog that loves to hike so I started to look at the info to see where you are located. I had a hard time finding where you are located. So I would make that a little easier to find. I live in Ohio. I wish I lived near you as my dog would love it.

    Vic

Well I really wished you lived around us as well! Maybe it's time to franchise out! Thanks for the kind words.

Hey Tom. You've got a really great layout. I love the front page quite a bit. After clicking on the blog the links at the top of the blog are no longer working in accordance to your smugmug site. You might want to check those out.
