Any chance the hack could be modified to work from the "all thumbs" gallery style? If I could batch an entire gallery and walk away, the wait would become a non-issue.

devbobo, let me reiterate my thanks for the great work. BWG, think of your revision as making use of a feature. :D

    Hi Greg,

I was always my intention to add other styles and "all thumbs" makes the most sense. I just want to wait to see how things pan out with bwg's hack on mac as I don't want to be running with multiple versions of the code.

    Cheers,

i have working on a new super deluxe version of my "bulk zoom thumbnail" hack.

Here's a screenshot of it in action... and a live demo here

    54427158-L.jpg

The code for this hack is as follows...

    - css code
    - javascript code
    - header/footer code

The limitations at this point in time are...

    - limited to "traditional" style
    - gallery must be public.

Any questions or problems, please reply to this post.

    Cheers,

    David

What program do I need to open the javascript (.js) code? Sorry, I've never worked with Javascript before...

The JS goes in your javascript section.
The CSS goes in your CSS section.
The Footer code goes in your footer section.

Yeah, I understand that, but only the CSS link contains text which I can copy and paste into my page. When I click on the "footer" link nothing comes up.

You're using Dev's code, which is ONLY on Traditional Style. If you replace with the code that BWG posted, you can use in any style. And, it's faster. Maybe dev will just update his links so as not to cornfuse people :D

    Thanks for your patience Andy.

    So here's what I've done.

Pasted the CSS code from dev's #1 post in this thread.

Pasted the Javascript code from "bulkzoomfast2.txt" posted by bigwebguy in post #30.

Pasted the Footer code from dev's post #40 - because the origional "footer code" from post #1 wasn't opening for me. If this is the code that you think is incorrect, could you copy/paste the correct code?

    Thanks

    eeeeh! wrong!

that code i posted doesn't work in every style...it was just an update to the original traditional only version.

afaik, the "works in everything" code hasnt been finalized yet.

Hey guys...I've been reading through a lot of these forum threads...and this bulk zoom is something I'd like to put to use...however, I got sort of lost in this thread. From what I understand...it only works for traditional. Is there any chance someone figured out how to get it to work for smugmug?

I couldn't get the code fom the first post to work. I think of the links is dead. Thanks for your time. I've past my trial stage.....and I'm enjoying the great features of this site.

ok...i have uploaded the new code (see first post) that supports new styles (all thumbs, smugmug and smugmug small) and also fixed a problem introduced with the latest smugmug release.

    Any problems, let me know.

I must be a super noob. I used the updated code in the correct boxes and the footer code from post #40 because the footer code from post #1 comes up as a blank screen. Still no success. Do I have to do something special when I have a custon header?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi David,

I had been using your bulk zoom version prior to this update and then tonight updated to your newer version. I don't know if I missed something, but the checkbox for bulk zoom shows in my galleries when I'm logged out. Don't think it should that? Did I copy something wrong?

    Kevin,

Is it loading in the browser ?

Try again, ...if it is loading the footer.txt file in the browser, try viewing the source.

    Hope this helps,
