    Baby's got the blues
I've been trying out the Tamron 90mm 1.8 macro on my D50 and managed to get Roxanne (not Andy's Roxanne) to stay still long enough to capture one of her baby blues

    Best Friends
This is my sons best friend Panda Bear. We found her when she was 4 weeks old in a box on the side of the highway. Someone had just thrown this gorgeous baby away! She is now 4 years old. She is the princess of the house. We don't own her...she owns us!

This is Halo just after we brought him home from the shelter. My 14 year old is taking spanish, so I thought it'd be cool if he could pick out a spanish word for "shadow" or "cloud" (it was a grey, cloudy day that day) to give some variations on the typical name for a grey cat. He told me he found "halo"; later I asked him about it a bit more and rechecking his spanish-english dictionary, the cloud halo referred to was "under the cloud of suspicion". This little kitten is frequently under that cloud rolleyes1.gif (particularly when asking who's disturbing the older cat or where did my pencil go?)

'Tilla (three years) and Peanut (about five months). Peanut's a heat leech.
    dscn1872.jpg

'Tilla endured a fifteen minute attack on his neck by Peanut (at about six weeks, here), and he never opened an eye. When Peanut's energy waned, 'Tilla officially ended her onslaught by holding her down. This event earned him the nickname; "Uncle 'Tilla."
    Tilla-and-Peanut.jpg

Starlet. So named because she popped up in a scene a friend was shooting for his independent movie. He decided to keep her in it.

In audiology circles that phenomenon is referred to as 'spousal selective hearing syndrome' more commonly found in men than women rolleyes1.gif

I snapped a few at a friend's house last night of her cat Brittany. She's lovely but she needs Listerine. She could knock out the Taliban with her breath!

Ooh, no posts today... I'll play! First up is our ocicat Tsarina. She was rescued from a breeder who died. After clearing out all the breeder's "good" stock, they found the less-than-perfect ones abandoned and neglected in the attic. Tsarina was up there because of her white chin, which she obviously doesn't think is a flaw. I need to get some pics that show off her spots.

    299287973_pwCkL-L.jpg

We also have Mab the meezer. She's a rescue also, but we have no idea what her story is. My wife and I sometimes refer to her as "cat-alite" because she's always orbiting our feet.

    309293251_pkoKx-L.jpg

Hopefully these posts work. This is my fist image posting here. Both pics are from a 5D with 24-105L.

That's really freaky! My family's cat is a Red Mackeral Tabby with the same orange "M" on her forehead, same green/orange eyes, but her face is pushed in more. She is also named Cleo. Oooo spooky!

Here are my friend's furkids, Taz (brown tabby) and Kramer (orange guy).

"whisper": "Taz does have a medical condition that makes him 'a big boy'...but, he doesn't really like to talk about it."

Kramer (he's a bit of a brat, but looks very stoic here)

They too seem to have the little "M"s on their foreheads.

Found him on my truck engine on Veteran's Day last year. eek7.gif
Ran "found" ads but nobody claimed him. He's been our kitty ever since.

    Our kittehs, Indy and Tooey
tooey on the left, indy on the right. we took in indy after he and his littermates were found underneath a house. tooey came to us after he'd barely survived after he and his two littermates were placed in a box, left on a street, and then run over by someone -- his siblings didn't make it.

Britta (no, not the water filter--it's an Irish name that means "speckled"), the little stray who frequented my neighborhood back in Texas until I won her trust enough and was able to take her in.

    256576511_yAySX-L.jpg269074696_5n38E-L.jpg

And Sketch, who my artist friend in CA had rescued. He kept trying to escape her trailer and return to the wild, so she asked if anyone knew someone with a bigger space that would be wiling to adopt him. He hopped a plane from the west coast to join me in my home on the east coast a couple years ago. :D
