Ahh, a special thread for us kittie-lovers! I like that! :D
    Great images here!

Here is our little hero. Once, we had a pair of mice as pets. One day, one of the escaped and we couldn't get it out from under the kitchen cupboard. Over three days, we tried everything we could think of.

In our despair we though, we should give the pro a chance. It was crazy! We opened the kitchen door, kitty rushed in, dove under the cupboard and came back one second later with the mouse in his mouth.
And then he placed it carefully into my outstretched hand! (The mouse was unharmed...)
BTW, this was one of the first tries with my new EF-S 60 macro lens. :D

He deserves the picture ! rolleyes1.gif

Poor ol' Ginger...she had some kind of reaction on her right ear, so we had to medicate and put "The Dreaded Cone" on. Now she gets HBO and Cinemax.

That is a cute pic Gus!

I'm glad to see that your daughter does read - with kitty snuggled up like that, she must be enjoying the book.

Thanks Al and Gus. Yoda (the cat) is a girl so you can even call her pretty and she won't be offended. She got her name because of her resemblance to the "real" Yoda when she was tiny. She is a wise, even-tempered kitty who is a good balance to her more tempestuous, alpha sister, Princess Leia.

Gus, I love the photo of your daugher with the Devon Rex. The two sets of eyes looking at the photographer with cool, feline detachment made me smile.

Since we lost our Tiggee we've not been able to bring ourselves to get another kitty. However, it would appear that one has got us - or at least part-time! Meet Little Ginger This little critter makes itself quite at home in OUR home..comes and goes as he pleases - uses Tiggee's old cat flap - and is quite happy to plonk itself wherever. He gets fed, watered and cuddled as and when he pleases - no news there where cats are concerned. The really weird thing is the uncanny resemblence to Tiggee - he even sits by Tig's grave - spookie.. I'm convinced Ginger is Tigs in a new life!

Angelo, the shadowdane links are a riot.

Gus, I'm not even going to ask how "splodge" got it's name....

Adrienne, SMASHING idea for the thread!

Now our contribution... Our favorite model, here posing for me to experiment with my (then brand new) 20D:

    32950654-M.jpg

and here... kickin' it in her 'crib':

    32951103-M.jpg

(I've used both of those as examples of what the 20D can do, they link to the originals, check out the detail on the whiskers! I love this camera.)

And finally, in her All Hallow's Eve costume as Darth-Kitty (links to her own gallery):
    40327363-S.jpg

Now if only I could find the shot of her as a kitten atop the chair trying to intimidate a full grown yellow lab....

"Our" cat, Stranger as we called him, looks to be a victim of the bad cat food saga....we found him in our back yard, "sleeping" a little over a week ago.

I call him "Our" cat, because he was the neighborhood cat, but came by our house everyday.
