here is me
This is me. Oh and thanks to the crew here. I didn't get a confirmation email and it got taken care of fast. Either that or the confirmation email came coincidentally right after I sent a note to support. Either way thanks and don't mind me for being a bit of a spaz in my first post.

Hello all. I'm looking forward to being a member of this forum. I made this self portrait using the self timer last February, and turned it into a Valentines Day card. Jim (http://jimwhitaker.smugmug.com/)

Well, brand new here, and no smugmug account yet. However, I'm about to start a pro one. And what made me decide on smugmug? This community. I'm amazed by the helpfulness of everyone around (and especially Andy) - and look forward to customizing the heck out of my site.
My site's going to be www.autoworksphoto.com - it currently points to my old photo/blog site though. But it gives you an idea of the pics I take.
Anyways, here's the best I can do at a mugshot of me.

Welcome! Yeah, we're great, arent' we?
Uh, you did something wrong with posting your pic, check out the link in my sig for a tute on posting images.
Glad to be here! Been looking for a new "home" and now, with Smugmug and DGrin, I believe I may have found it. I have wandered for many months thru the wastelands of online photo galleries only to find these two really first class sites. I'm glad to be here and will be posting shortly. One question: what are "groups" and how are they joined?
A sample photo...actually digital art photopainting...but this is what I really enjoy.

Hi all at Dgrin
I'm excited to be part of this forum and hope that everyone will be honest and helpful when you look at my pics. I really do want to improve my photo's and the best way to do that is to have people criticise them. So please go ahead have a ball.
I am retired owner of my business which supports me in my retirement. I spend as much time out in the "bush" observing and photographing wild life and birds in particular. I am also envoled in teaching peasant farmers to break free from subsistence agriculture and becoming more commercial.
I live in Zimbabwe.

I did it right, but apparently linking to photos on blogger is unreliable at best. So I moved it elsewhere.
