Newbie here, I've had my SmugMug for a few weeks but I am still learning the ropes... Oddly enough I don't have a decent quality photo of myself, but here's one from the BlackBerry 11doh.gif

Well, I'm new too here, but I still take my turn to welcome you.

And the pics is okay, you'll get plenty of time to let some one else shoot you.

EDIT: okay now you both look great! That is a beautiful Pinto!

Thanks, my mentor is always asking to shoot me but I'm really not comfortable IFO the lens unless I'm riding! Thank you for the comment on my boy, he's the love of my life... I also have an English Bulldog that is spoiled rotten.

My "real job" is working as a 911 Police/Fire/EMS Dispatcher of over 4 years, I am currently applying to be a Police Officer in Alaska and the Department is flying me up there June 10th, I cannot wait.

I'm the same way, love to shoot but not to be shot, especially by guns:gun2 since I have been shot once, during an home invasion, and still carry the bullet in my back, but I'm good.

Love horses and you sure have some wonderful shots of them in your SM site.

Alaska is a tremendously beautiful country and look forward to go visit soon my self for a great shoot.

Best of luck, and more importantly keep SAFE on the JOB!

    ciao

Hello Dgrin! I'm new to photography. I received my first "real" camera, a D80, for Christmas. I live in Cave Creek, AZ and love to photograph the desert. I'm looking forward to participating in this forum.

    Here is my mug shot.

I have been a SmugMug'er for just over a year now. I don't visit the Dgrin forums as often as I should. I think that is about to change. I love SmugMug and the support heroes who man the forums, and take care of me, and my customers! I recently had an incredible customer service experience when Andy, Anne, Markham and even Don went waaaaay above and beyond the call of duty. As a matter of fact, SmugMug's partner EZ Prints joined the incredible customer service experience! Kudos to the SmugMug (and EZ Prints) support heroes!!!! clap.gifclap

Now, a picture of my mug taken last month while shooting a pair of kids for a beautiful SmugMug canvas. One of my surefire things to do to get great child portraits is let the subject hold the camera and take a few pictures....the picture below is one of those pictures:
