Nick - are you not going to use the Epson P2000? I am relying on mine, and intend to buy a few 4G cards too - in case I fill the Epson along the way.

I think I will buy gloves from the local running store - should be nice thin tight ones there, which will be good for shooting.

I will take skippy to 'the mall' or to Mountain Equipment Coop, if necessary, but I'd rather take her out sightseeing and shooting!

My friend in Jasper has given me contact info for a local pro - I've asked for some tips on good (lesser known) locations.

Now, we need to talk about driving music, eating needs and snoring! Be warned, by all reports I snore!

I don't snore. (At least I've never been told I do.) I sleep fairly lightly. Go to sleep late, wake up early most days.

Any music is fine, but I prefer no rap/r&b nor very odd folk music.

I no longer trust my Epson P2000. The interface stops working correctly and I cannot transfer files to it. I should send it in for service but I'm lazy like that, it's only been broke since Feb ne_nau.gif . Plus I wanted a second form of storage for when I get the P-2000 fixed. 1 GIG a second transfer speed is nice, so is the 160GIG and upgradable HD. I've got 12GIG worth of CF cards between the three cameras so I should be able to shoot all day and transfer at night. Anyone want to help me carry my gear?

So yesterday I had an incredibly frustrating experience at work, and if it hadn't been for these 2 1/2 weeks vacation around the corner, probably would have resigned. I'm not cleaning off my desk, I am simply getting matters in order for when I am gone (like polishing the resume.....)

    Nick - what three cameras?

I thought I was being a glutton by bringing 2! Will only hike with one at a time though.

20D, 30D, IR modded XT. But I think I have narrowed it down to only 5 lenses. Want to take bets on if I can fit it all in my backpack?

    You're gonna need a mule!

Why those three cams? Cannot the XT act as backup to the 30d???

I don't know how to use the 1dMkII yet, so maybe should leave it home, but then it will be great for wildlife!!!

Since my D300 won't be here until November I'll be there with the D50 and D80. I'm hoping to keep the 70-200 2.8 on the D80 for animals and the 12-24 on the D50 for landscapes. But I have two weeks to switch things up. mwink.gif

That's basically my strategy. 20D with the 400, 30D with the 17-40, and IR XT with the 10-22 when it's not sitting in my bag.

I'll have two bags. The Karachi Outpost and a duffle bag. The dufflebag is about 2.5-3 feet long, kind of big but not too ridiculous.
