I want flurries only if they are the really big flakes. You know, the ones that float down very slowly and make for awsome pictures. That would be sweet. How are the leaves? Still on the trees?

    Hi Nick

Leaves still on trees, turning more yellow day by day. Currently thundering, so we may get up to no leaves on the trees, many leaves on the ground.

I think subliminally the more I check this thread the closer I get to being in Canada. It's 1:15 AM and I keep checking it like someone besides me is actually awake and posting to it. I'm actually putting off finishing the pictures from a friends wedding. I told them I would have them ready before I left for the pre-shootout. I really left this for the last minute didn't I? It was fun but besides the two I have scheduled for next year, I think this is it for me. Anyone want to buy some barely used Alien Bees next year?

I'm so tired. It's been a hectic two weeks and I finally packed last night. I'm trying to make sure and remember to have all my bills paid before tomorrow. I'm also hoping I have enough stuff for the trip. Eek.

I guess there are stores if I need stuff. Ohhhh dear.

See ya tomorrow! I usually fly carry on only. I'm so freaked that my bag is going to be left in Chicago. And, I only have a one hour lay-over so we better be on time! Me = nervous ninny. rolleyes1.gif

Oh, and Ann are we meeting you at baggage claim or a car park? I have Skippy's cell # so I can text her when we land.

    Hey Christina

Yes, there will be stores, but we will also be in tourist country so there will be a premium on prices. (Of course, we may hit a great end of season sale too).

Skippy and I will meet you right outside of customs. So, the process is that you speak to a (hopefully) pleasant customs officer, get your luggage, then go through a pass gate. (Hopefully, you aren't randomly chosen to have your bags searched). You will pass through a set of doors, and skippy and my smiling faces will be on the other side.

I'll pm you with my address - you may need to give it to customs.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow - and I'm getting groceries today so this is your chance to request something special.

skippy asks about preferences for breakfast cereal?

Um...I don't usually eat cereal. What's that snap crackle pop stuff? Rice Crispty? I'll eat whatever cereal you get dry though, no milk needed for me. I'm also good with fruits like apples, oranges, nectarines, clementines. (Bananas and grapefruits are bad.)

Woo Hoo! I have a feeling I'm gonna need some caffiene tonight!

My friend in Jasper has given me contact info for a local pro - I've asked for some tips on good (lesser known) locations.

    Hi Ann

Hope you will share those tips with a fellow Edmontonian.

    Enjoy the trip,
