There was a great article in the San Jose Mercury News about some of the
recently completed renovations at Yosemite Falls.

If you've been before, the biggest change is the removal of the parking lot
at the base of the falls. The restrooms were replaced with newer ones and
the trail leading to the falls re-routed.

From the parking lot (or what was the parking lot), your view of the falls is
framed by magnificant trees. As you wander towards the falls, you
can hear the water. And finally, you round a short bend to be greeted by
a view of the lower falls.

The falls are one of my favorite spots to go in the park. Most people go
during the day. But a moonlit night can be a spectacular time to go too.

Here are a couple of teasers...probably posted before but just to keep
    you interested...

Ok, looks like I'll be camping with some friends in the park during the event...so I guess I will meet up with you all for some shooting, etc. Is there a general meeting place where everyone will gather in the morning, etc.?

if you have special dietary needs, please send me a private message. the menu on saturday night includes veg dishes, as well as grilled salmon. so it's not a 100% rib-fest (but darn near!)....

    thanks
