I was just going through some old photos and found the exact picture he has here, I mean that is too big of a coincidence to ignore, so my image has been stolen by the movie industry and a fellow smugger. I guess I am owed some money here. I would be willing to accept a part in the next movie instead of cash though. ...wait look at that, I have a picture of the Death Star...it looks exactly like the one on this Star Wars Movie poster, oh George I am coming for you. :nono

You know... kelby training just released a new video series on copyright registration... maybe the original poster should've registered so that they could be told by some fancy New York lawyer "You can get Money!".

Well... I can't tell you all the details but here's a gist of it:
Gore lost by a fraction of a vote. Bush hold the office for 8 years. Now Obama is the President.
    That's about it, right, folks?

To answer your question more specifically, the OP finally realised that it was not in fact his picture... And now everyone reminds him of his mistake.

As we approach the 500th message in this thread, wouldn't it be nice if Sid would come back and visit us? Maybe he made so much money off his photo that Al Gore used that he's forgotten us little people.

I've got a picture that I think would look great on a bigscreen in some kind of psuedo documentary. Does anyone have al gore's number? How many wheelbarrows do you think I'll need for all the cash he's going to give me? 3 or 4 should do it I think.

They zoomed in a quite a bit, and made the taillights more red... but it's this pic all right.

Now I'm torn. Not sure if it's worth a big hassle to get the $150 they owe me. Or if I should spend a lot of time and effort to hold them accountable.
