Fixed - you had some erroneous javascript code in your gallery description on that page that caused the error. The script was calling a file that did not exist - so I removed it.
i ahev a problem with my flash embed code. I have embeded a flash banner as the header on my website http://imagex.smugmug.com

It works fine on all the pages apart from this one

    http://imagex.smugmug.com/gallery/2199584

Where i get the operation aborted error. How can i fix the code so it works?

The page worked fine before i added the flash banner.

    Thanks

    Ken,

I just sent you an email, but please post the code you had to remove - I can get it to work out.

I had flash a mp3 player embedded in my footer. Took it out and everything returned to normal working order.

Oddly enough my homepage was always fine, but everything else was messed up.

This whole issue is disappointing, really.

    Hi Everyone!
I just checked in after a weeks hiatus and guess what? Whatever it is my website has it too, that is, IE7 barfs most of the time on apparantly random galleries. What I mean to say is that sometimes I CAN open a gallery that it just barfed on.

I've scanned the thread but failed to see what the problem/fix is.

    Hints???

Hey, my site (http://delbert.smugmug.com) started working properly again (without IE aborts). What was the issue?

    Error Message On Gallery Entry
I just uploaded a bunch of photos to my Local gallery under the Stabley Family. Now that I try to go in and view the photos, I get this error message and it goes to the famous "internet explorer can not disply this page" screen. I've never seen this before. I don't think I've ever gotten an error message on my site. Any suggestions on how to fix this. I have a first time client that is very anxious to see her photo's. EEEEK! :bash

It looks to be coming up now. What caused that and how did it happen? Was it something I did at creation of the gallery or upload. What did you have to fix? Maybe next time, it's something I can try myself. Or is that too scary to consider. Laughing.gif!!! You may end up resetting my whole darn page if I mess with it....rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks Barb!!!

    Hi :)

We made a few changes on our end a few weeks ago that affected part of the slideshow code. So, the change was to the loadSlideshow () function.

Hopefully, you won't need to worry about it again!

    Hi Barb,

I am pretty sure that I lost the fix for the IE abort/Slideshow problem. I had several customization windows open and suspect that I overrode your fix with the old stuff.

    I Please fix again?

    IE problem?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes: I got this e-mail from somebody who was trying to look at my website.
when i try to open the page with the prom pictures you took, I get a box that pops up saying Internet explorer couldn't open the browser or something like that and that it is aborting the thing... however i can see the pictures.. the web page does finish loading but I have no option to bypass clicking okay on the aborting box so the page is always closed... do you know how I might be able to fix that?

I'm assuming they are going from this page: http://www.paulcao.com/Campus%20Crusade%20for%20Christ/303705

and clicking on the prom link.

    Me Too...
Looks like I am getting the same errors.. very random.. always in IE7..

If someone could look at my code and let me know.. I understand that everyone is busy but if there could be priority on this. I have just made my first sale + expecting more after shooting a big event on the weekend :)

Andy - what is the best way to save a backup file of the customizations?

    Cheers!

    Hi :)

I've made a slight change to your slideshow code in your footer in your customization. Can you let us know if it resolved the problem for you?

Good idea to always keep a backup of your customizations :) Just copy and paste them into a text file and save on your computer.

Thanks Barb! I will test tonight (of course my time AEST) as I only have IE7 loaded at home - not work.

I wasn't sure if Andy meant that there was a simplier way of doing it, I am currently doing the text file saves already...

Thanks again for your assistance and I will let you know...
