What or where is B&H? I've been reading about this place everywhere but have no clue what the address to it is. Please help!
(PS. Does anyone know where to get a Canon SD20 at the lowest price possible? The lowest I found was.. $289. Thanks!)
I love B&H...
But onto the story.
I ordered from a company, can't remember the name. I ordered the Pentax *ist D from them for around $750. They sent me the Ds instead, and when I called the guy said "No, the only difference is it's silver instead." And then he had the nerve to try to convince me he was right. I decided to read off the spec comparison sheet. At the end of the sentence after he said I was wrong, I said "Oh, it's black."
I sent the camera back, and they didn't return my money right away, they were saying that we forgot a warranty card they sent. I then threatened to report them. All of a sudden a check came in the mail for the full amount.
Nah the place got shut down.
Does any one have experiance with Ritz Camera dot com? It took some real negative hits on reseller reviews.
Do they honor the same deals in the stores as on the internet? That would seem the best of both worlds - you get to see the product but pay the internet price. The web site says no tax, even on states they do business in. Does this include the retail stores?
Real or scam?
So I'm looking at http://www.flyintheskyphoto.com/index.php?action=item&id=2781237#Overview
This shows what is apparently a Canon EOS 20D for only 900 dollars. Everywhere else I look, this camera is much more expensive, usually ranging from 1200 dollars upwards. I don't know near enough about DSLRs to know what makes this package so much cheaper, so can someone clue me in? I've had bad experiences in the past going with the cheaper deal that looks good, so I'm wanting to make sure this is actually good before making up my mind. I appreciate any help I can get!
Found this site on slashdot --> http://thomashawk.com/2005/11/priceritephoto-abusive-bait-and-switch.html
was dealing with this company www.oneclickdigital.com
I got lens lust the other day and started looking at used lens on B&H, they didn't have what I wanted so I looked at adorama. They had what I wanted so I ordered, and a protective filter for the lens. Sunday I got an e-mail from them, I just thought that it was telling me that my order shipped. Today I opened that e-mail on a whim to see what it said. It was a note telling me to call them, I did and got voice mail, they called me back in a few min like it said. What was the problem? why the delay? Why had they not shipped yet? because they thought that should order a $112 4 filter set, "that is a $130 value". The whole thing was a sales gimick to try to sell me a !@&#*[email protected] filter pack. If I order online I don't want to have my order held to wait on me having to call in to hear a sales pitch.
Boy the poop on Adorama sure is hit or miss. I've heard it both ways, a lot. The best thing you could do is to relate your story on resellerratings.com, so others could benefit too. Shame - Adorama is wonderful to deal with in their NYC store - if I'm stuck for something and don't want to schlep all the way over to B&H I'll stop in there...
