My snapshots are up in a collection of galleries here. I wonder what I was thinking, detailing every moment of some days and skipping over entire afternoons. headscratch.gif

The "real" photos are still in process. After seeing the quality of the work shown in the critiques, I'm scared to share my own. :D

    ATTN: All Shootouters!

If you've got a thread about the shootout, please PM me the link, and I'll add them to the master sticky we've got on the shootout, so that people can see them all.

    Thanks!

My flights home were pretty good. I only had one hour layovers planned both ways. O'Hare was backed up with a 25 plane traffic jam waiting for take off last night so I was delayed an hour. Over all...not bad considering.

Is everybody home now? (Well, except Skippy is on the grand tour.)

    Take care y'all!

Not quite how to take this statement "Scott models his signature outfit." But, I was dressed in layers and I wasn't cold!

That was a thoroughly wonderful collection of snapshots! Well done!

Not to worry, Scott! I thought your outfit was great for a huge crowd of photographers descending on a single park. We always knew where you were so there was no accidentally leaving you behind. And obviously you didn't get mistaken for a deer by a hunter all week, right?? :D

    speed pano explained
Finally converted and uploaded: Video demonstrating the patented Devbobo Speed Pano (tm)!!

    :giggle

It works OK too. This one was a 7-RAW-frame pano stitched together. My poor computer nearly choked and died, but it did it. It was 90 MB AFTER cropping the stray edges off. You might not want to try this at home if you're in a hurry.

My (still working) rental car got me home Wed. night at 11pm after chasing the good light in Wisconsin. The fall colors were fantastic north of Madison but have hardly begun here back home so I get to go through autumn colors twice. clap.gif .

It was great meeting all of you up there. Andrew, I haven't forgotten about the deer shot I owe you. I just need to find it among the 4,100 files. Eeek.

And Christina, I will locate those bridge shots too once I sort out my 6 DVD's. Soooo many files to look through.

David R., thanks for arranging the Shootout and sorry you couldn't have made it up there with the rest of us.

White Lighting got us as far as East Glacier (where we returned the car), Nikolai and April gave us a ride the rest of the way to Kalispell.

As for Mike, I talked to him today and its still hit and miss. Supposedly this is a 2 week thing. However, he's already planning on signing up for 2008.

As soon as I find the pic, you'll receive a RAW file. PM me with your email only if it's different than in your dgrin profile. Could take a few days. That work thing is getting in the way almost immediately.

So we didn't scare Mike away then? Good thing. He will be assimilated. assimilate.gif

Looks like I have about 12 hours to decide about Shootout '08 and find a way around the no vacations Oct. - Dec. rule deal.gif at work. rolleyes1.gif
