Re: Need some advice
Ok, let me see if I can add to the great advice you have already received. You can use the crop tool without any criteria typed and use it as a free hand crop. This way you can set the height and width independently to accommodate the subject in your photo. You already know how to set the criteria for a desired aspect… -
Re: Fractals in Nature
Yep as CatOne said Chile is a very mountainous country -- take away the mountains and at least 1/2 of the country would be gone. Mountains are highest in Northern Chile (Country BTW is almost 3,000 miles North South) and Central Chile. For the most part the gradually decrease in height towards the south but while… -
Re: Real Estate Photography
I do a bit, but it's just to fill holes in my schedule I do a bit of work for a few Realtors and 2 builders. Getting the work is not really an issue. Getting paid decent for your time is a hassle. I do the real estate work as almost a lost leader. I actually am also I licensed mortgage broker. I do the photo-work for next… -

Re: Practice, practice, practice
As a reflector hater (only because I'm lazy - they do amazing jobs!), I'd say work on placing her properly and you'll be ahead of the game.... Try to think of any light source and place your subject so that 2/3 of their face is lit by it. Not half, not 1/3, but 2/3 or slightly more. You'll get much more flattering shadows.… -
Re: Dispelling some myths about international shipping
DoctorIt and Gus, this conversation interests me quite a bit, maybe you can shed some light on this issues. I live in portugal. Here, everything photo related is stupidly expensive. So, obviously I'd think that buying from the U.S would be cheaper, but when I tried it, I got burned. Just so you understand the seriousness… -

Re: Tired child
The course should be really good but it sure is a hit on the pocket -- and not even so much for the tuition. I think there is only one other person in the class who is not a professional. I had to go get a lot of stuff I don't have; mostly inexpensive, but light meters are not cheap these days. I do get the ability to buy… -
Re: R/C Aerial Photography
Thanks everyone. I still have to learn marketing myself. As far as costs, initially it'll be higher for someone just getting into R/C. It's been one of my hobbies for the past 20 years. Typically you're looking at: Transmitter/Reciever Combo: $300-$500 Batteries for the Airplane, and Chargers: $150-$225 Hawkeye (Ready To… -
Re: Southern France and my Canon G10
part 3 During our stay at Berges, my mom offered to watch the kids so Theresa and I can drive off for a day trip. You got to love Moms. Theresa and I decided to head towards the Mediterranean Sea to the city of Sete and Meze. Both cities are huge fishing towns as by the design of the Canal du Midi that starts from Sete…
