Re: Yet Another Sedona Moonrise
113? Is that measured from true north, or magnetic north? My compass said (and I was looking for) 123 degrees. Although, I didn't correct for magnetic declination, so perhaps 113 is actually correct for that spot. Yeah, there were several other photographers across the way in that same spot. Is there any particular reason… -
DSS #123 - C&C Needed
I've honestly never tried an abstract before. For this I used one of my daughters toys with a long exposure, handheld, zooming. Used LR4 to adjust curves and levels, nothing else. Two options, one a bit flatter, one a bit more vibrant (literally a difference of 50 in the vibrance, -50 vs 0). Looking forward to some C&C! -

Keywords format
Hi guys, I'm very new to Smugmug so pardon my question if it's trivial and/or had been discussed to death before. I'm qurious - why there is seems to be limitations on keywords (tags) format? For example, I was trying to create keywords like 'test-123' or 'test_123' or even simple 'test123' and in all cases numbers just… -
Re: Bikini Babe Images (Its Summer In Australia)
On a serious note, though: my heartfelt sympathies for those in Melbourne who sustained the losses of 17 people due to record heat this year. I'm pretty used to hot summers--up to 51 deg. C (123 deg.F) in Phoenix one day in 1989 but, where you're not that used to temps even 40 deg. C, just STAY COOL any way you can! Steve-o -
Re: Any Hacks for Keyword function?
I used exiftool.exe to add numeric IPTC keywords with double-quotes, no problem. They show up in the SmugMug UI as: "1"; "123"; "5555" Unfortunately, SmugMug still refuses to recognize such numeric keywords as valid. SmugMug insists that the numeric keywords be space-delimited before it will recognize them. As Jericho fans… -
Re: Native salmon fishing (10 photos)
Where on the Hood Canal were these shot? It looks somewhat familiar but I haven't been there for quite some time. My aunt and uncle owned a resort next to the "Castle," (+47° 20' 58.99", -123° 2' 34.23") I think owned by the Schaeffers (?) when I used to visit there. I do remember going with my uncle to see something like… -
DSS#123 - Do these qualify?
I'm not sure I understand the mandate for this one. I've been shooting some reflections in office building windows, and I like this one of the steeple reflections. The distortion is all in the window reflection, and not added in post. The problem is it doesn't "fill the frame". So, I have two of office building exteriors… -
Can we use the "Photo Bar" in a pull-down menu???
I really love the photo bar. Very cool look and animation. Is there anyway that we can get hold of the code so that we can use it as a menu pop-up??? Specifically I want it for the right-hand menu on http://smile-123.smugmug.com as its getting pretty cluttered and the typical horizontal menu with pull-downs isn't going to… -
Adding sequential numbers?
Is there an easy way to add a sequential numbering to Caption so if people are looking at pictures they can just take easy notes -- the number of pictures on the page might vary according to monitor size and screen size and swing "second over left in third row" may not work. I'd like to be able to just add something simple…
