That was a good songbut I liked SunDown better...:D
Dr. Hook was good as was Black Oak Arkansas (Uncle Lijah, Jim Dandy, MoonShine Sonata)........I was really hooked on Emerson Lake and Palmer, Jefferson Air Plane and SteppenWolf..............
Yes Art... Sundown... He played that off the hook too... That one is burnt into my brain for life.. and my mom, well she constantly played the Emerson Lake and Palmer...
I have never heard of the other ones you listed....
How about this: I attended my FIRST (and only) rock concert at the age of 28, and only because my husband-to-be took me to see the (aging) Beach Boys on one of our first dates. (and no, I'm not kidding!!!!!)
As for the challenge... it's making me CRAZY! I'm way too literal, I guess (or alternatively since I spend my life watching music being brought to life I struggle visualizing it instead of actually DOING IT), and trying to think outside the box is driving me nuts. The only non-depictive ideas I've had require lots of street shooting (which I haven't really done, and which I'm not really comfortable trying), or specific situations which as yet I haven't been able to find.
This is proving to be an extremely difficult challenge. It's a fine line to navigate...trying to not be too literal, but at the same time making certain that the viewers really know which song you're talking about.
Really trying to psych myself up for this challenge.....not happening yet.
Okay, somewhere in here, before this thread exploded , nightpixels asked a question. I swear I saw someone else answer along the lines of, "It's been done before, but it doesn't mean you couldn't find a better solution," which was a sentiment I agreed with. But now I can't find it, so...
Yes, you can use it, but I would suggest minimal use of those types of brushes. Linda's example is a good one.
