aww man,, Kerry NO Fair... you beat me to it.. oh well, I had enlisted the husband's help anyways:cry
Beat by a hair, Kat. Oh well, here's a consolation clappy:
And the story behind it:
I received some money for my 9th birthday and went out to buy my first ever record. Adoring my older sisters as I did (and still do), the record I bought was their favorite song at the time. I was hoping it would win me their favor.

awww man! I leave and go to the store to buy food for my poor neglected dgrin orphan children and the game is over! :cry
Don't worry, I'll try to keep thinking things up to see you all through the next month. Next trivia quiz will be on a famous photographer. (I hope you stocked up on the food.)

You and your famous photographers have already kept me busy - following your "After Hurrell" shot, I became completely OBSESSED by the man, including doing a presentation on him for my lighting class (I wasn't an "official" student and simply sat in on the class as a member of staff from another department, but I figured I'd give the instructor a break and complete the presentationi assignment), and getting hold of a copy of this book
Safe travels, Kerry - WE WANT PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow, I'm totally adding that book to my wish list! Along with CS4 and Lightroom 2 upgrades, that is. Did I mention I have a BIG birthday coming up?
I am fairly new here, have never entered a challenge, but often thought of doing so. I think I will this time around, is that okay? I am actually working a spread, based on a song I LOVE!! And this would be a perfect chance to jump in a get a good education. Do the pictures have to be in color or b&W or will anything go as long as it represents a song title?
Are there any other rules a newbie should know?
Thanks!!
Stephanie

Welcome Stephanie!!!
Sounds like a great one to start with if you are already thinking in that direction. Song Title is indeed what you need to show. If you read through this thread (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=129426), it should give you all the info you need. If a challenge theme doesn't specifically tell you it needs to be black and white or color, then it is entirely up to you. If there is anything you aren't sure about feel free to ask. Everyone on here is great about helping out and giving advice.

It is an AWESOME book - you'll enjoy it!!! Some great images, along with reverse-engineered diagrams of how they were likely shot. Very cool stuff.

No this isn't the song I plan on shooting for the challenge!

I was thinking Steve Miller's (version of) Jet Airliner, before the hint from HoofClix.
