Does anybody know whether using free brushes that we have downloaded from the internet is allowed to be used in our Photographs? Say a brush that has a shape of a soldier? Perhaps Kerry or Emily can help? I know that I have seen bird brushes being used in at least one entry before, but I wanted to double-check.

I guess that the precedent makes the rule... ne_nau.gif

I was feeling better with the old ones, making me less.... out of time :s85

Well, I have to admit that indeed, my teens years were enchanted by:

Beatles, Mungo Gerry, Santana, Tina Turner, ...and ... Abba, Gilbert Becaud, Aznavour , Zamfir...

Have you guys heard of them? headscratch.gif

You may be referring to a shot that I had in a challenge. The theme for that challenge was "Natural or Contrived" so I figured I had nothing to lose by using a bird brush since I was going for contrived anyway and I didn't care if they looked artificial.

Photo editing software has all kinds of brushes that can be used as tools to enhance a photo. It would be pretty tough call to tell folks it's OK to use one kind of brush and not another. ne_nau.gif

The first four are closer to me than I care to admit. That is the type of albums I got passed down from my brother and sister. Abba was absolutely in my teen years. After that, you lost me. Except a vauge memory of that pan flute playing. :D
So, yes, Tatiana, I know who they are. I don't about these kids on here though! :lol

1973 at Converse College Spartanburg: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band backed up by one of Steve Martin's early standup routines in which he did his baloon tricks, then played banjo with the band, even doing the old "trading frets" trick with John McEuen!

Then the next night it was the old Greenville Auditorium, America backed up by Poco, complete with TB Schmidt before he defected to The Eagles..

As Dave would have said had he been there, "something smelled good out there...."

    He, he.... I knew mwink.gif

The last group is from Europe - more or less 60s - 70s

I'm sure (almost) everybody knows ABBA, and maybe few heard some Zamfir's flute performances...

but the middle 2 are (were...) well known French singers :ginger

    - I grown up in Europe ... Eastern :tough

Hmmm...okay. The first record I ever bought with my own money. Clue:

    Metropolitan, excessively temperatured youngun'

Get that one and you will have MAJOR brownie points that will help you not one bit for the challenge, but will earn you at least one clapping smilie.

I'm sick - that was the first song that popped into my head - "hmmm...how do I pull that off without getting arrested in front of the church..." That probably would not be my finest hour...

Thanks for finally telling us Kerry - I was hot on the puzzle last night, but finally had to give up.

This one looks fun - and do-able for me! I've got my thinking cap on!
