The rework in your last shot is spot on. Very nice portrait.

    Thanks Zoomer.

Well, OK, I was looking at her chest. I admit it. Darn good thing too! I almost forgot to put cantaloupe's on my shopping list for the week.

All levity aside. I think that last one, minus the chest fur, has fashion magazine written all over it. Quite nice. Nailed it. Doesn't look fake at all like most in that thread on retouching that Charles started.

Look at the cover of the April Cosmopolitan. The post work is almost exactly like yours!

Model looks like it could be your wife's a bit chunky sister.

Its such a cool thing your wife helps you out on this project. Is she naturally photogenic or is it just to help you?

We were away visiting family for a few days so we did some shots outdoors with natural light.

    Light Setup:

Natural light afternoon light. Sun was behind her as I wanted to introduce some rim and a bit of flare to the shot.

Another outdoor shoot. This time at my in-laws condo complex. Lots of open shade with light colored walls and cement that worked well to bounce light around.

    Light Setup:

Morning light but in open shade. Found spot where the difference architectural elements were bounce light nicely to use as fill.

Another outdoor shoot. Again in the morning. This day was a bit overcast so it was a bit easier to find places to shoot.

    Light Setup:

Morning, overcast light. Again, using the walls of the complex to bounce and fill shadows.

Went for something a bit more creative since it was are first day back at home after our trip. I did a bit more post work to this shot so I know it may not appeal to everyone. The fabric she is holding is actually blueish-purple but I changed the color to red in post. I also added the eye make up in post.

    3-Light Setup:

Main: AB800 in 48" Octobox on camera left, metered to f/10
Fill: Round white reflector on camera right
Kickers: 2 x AB400 in gridded strip boxes on camera left and right, metered to f/8

Haven't shot on a white backdrop in a while and she had on a white shirt so I decided to go somewhat high key with this one.

    3-Light Setup:

Main: 2x2' soft box directly above and metered at f/11
Fill: 3 pieces of white foam-core below left, center and right
Kickers: Large gridded strip boxes on left and right metered at f/9
Backdrop: Bare SB900 centered on backdrop and feathered.

Pull Back: Same as day 63

Absolutely just love your skin tones. Nice work here. Once in awhile watch out for hunched shoulders.

Thanks Hack. Yeah... some of these shots were rushed. We've been pretty busy lately so it's kind of like... 1. Stand there and look pretty. 2. Snap. Snap. 3. Done. Laughing.gif

See, once your basics are grounded it becomes easier and you can work faster. Folks might appreciate hearing what you do for skin tones/color.
