Glad you're enjoying the thread. I was starting to worry that people have had just about enough of my photos of my wife.
Yeah. I agree with you on Day 31 compared to some of the recent ones. Although, I really do like Day 30 as well. I actually have Day 30 set as my wallpaper on my phone. With that said, I think today's photo, Day 34, is pretty damn great. Haven't uploaded it yet. Will do later today. Just need to take the pull back shot which I forgot to do this morning but I still have everything setup.
This is a very nice thread idea, thanks for sharing.
With the reflector on the same side as the key, it seems that not quite enough fill light is hitting the left side of her nose and is making a slightly funny shadow that kinda makes it look like her nose is being pinched. Do you see what I mean? I wonder if bringing the reflector just a few more inches camera right would fix that.

Yes. I do see the small shadow on the left side of her nose. I could have healed that out but I am not doing any processing on these shots that alters the light, shadows or exposure for the sake of the project.

Alex I just wanted to share this with you. I ended up shooting with a PCB Beauty Dish camera right and then just a gridded 7" AB1600 and AB800 behind him right and left. What do you think?

I like it. I too agree that the face is a little hot but not so much that it ruins the image. I'm kind of bothered by the hard shadow on his right cheek from the jacket collar. Again, not an image killer. I just noticed it and now I can't stop looking at it.
One thing... is this a composite? I think it is. You did a great job EXCEPT for around the top of his head. It looks "cut out" there. I'd soften that edge a bit.

Alex thanks for the advice! The shadow on the face didnt really bother me until you said something and now I get what you are saying. When I looked at the sooc image his face isnt actually hot. It must have been the PP. As for the line around the top of his head I didnt catch it when I was using the refine edge tool in PS. I posted it to FB and here and then noticed it so I will fix that! I think in all honesty my first time actually using 3 lights and doing a composite of this nature it turned out pretty good. My friend loved it and a friend of his wants to do a shoot now so I would call that a win wint! I really appreciate this thread and all your help as its been a total lifesaver!
OK... so I've gotten a bit lazy with keeping this thread up. I've also forgotten to take pull backs on some days. Luckily, the last several days I've used the same setup. So these next few posts will catch the thread up.

Yes she does. My wife has eczema. She was diagnosed with it at 16 so she's always taken really good care of her skin. She always wears sunscreen, moisturizes, she gets facials every month and she washes her face twice daily. She rarely has an eczema outbreak because of this and its usually just a tiny rash on her wrist or hands. It also has kept wrinkles at bay. She literally has no wrinkles on her face and she's turning 40 in a few months.
Getting lazy and not taking pullback pics. Sorry guys. I also forgot to upload SOOC shots for this next batch. However, the PP is exactly like the few I posted with SOOC last time.

LOve it. Though his face is a touch over for me
Ya I thought about toning it down a little so I am glad I wasnt the only one who thought so. Oh well not bad for a first try!
