Like I said, I can't replicate the issue, so emailing help@smugmug.com is your best bet. Good luck!

I also emailed smugmug help yesterday and they said they would look at it. I just checked and my PC-Firefox combination is working correctly again. Everyone else ok too?

    Thank you Smugmug.:))

YW - sorry for the trouble! It was a timezone cookie thing, it's been fixed for most of the day today.

    Thanks Al.

Issue in the new community homepages: The search results are always shown using the cobranding of the community creator even though forcing cobranding is disabled.

Can anybody confirm that? Tested it on DailyPhotos and dgrin.

Another thing I came across with the new community homepages: Are you sure the 'recent members' are selected by date like the name suggests? Looks more of alphabetical with the rest cut off.

For me 'recent' in this context means that these people have made changes in their shared galleries not long ago. So you're saying that all the people with A and B were the last to post a picture in their shared galleries?

There's something I'm not understanding correctly, isn't there?

    Thanks,

Not really a 'bug', but this seemed like the only place to put it without starting a new thread.

On the information pages for the power/pro accounts, it still says bandwidth provide is 4/18/16GB, maybe it could be updated?

Sorry, we're trying to get our ducks in a row and had some miscommunication. This is indeed a bug. Thanks Sebastian.

    Malformed URLs
When viewing photos from an individual user by keyword (e.g.,. http://chuckcarroll.smugmug.com/keyword/sunrise) in the traditional, all thumbs, or journal styles, the URLs to which the small pictures link is malformed. The link for the single picture at the link above comes up as http://chuckcarroll.smugmug.comhttp://chuckcarroll.smugmug.com/keyword/sunrise/1/42340249/Medium, for example.

Yes this was driving me crazy. Thought it was something I did to my page. When I click on a thumbnail of a keyword I get an IE error.(due to the deformed link)

Clicking the remove gallery button in my community gives me a page like this:
    "remove gallery from community

    Sebastian Hosche's Test Gallery 2
    Really remove? yes/no"

Even if it appears to show the name of the owner of the gallery it really shows always the name of the community owner.
Checked on my Daily and EuropeanSmugmuggers community.

When purchasing photos using my custom host name (http://photos.dsporter.com) after the photo is added to the cart, when I click on "on to cart" I get the message "Your cart is empty". I tried it in both FF and IE, eventually I checked my cart anyway and it had actually added several copies. I think it may be related to the security certificate since I get a message that says the certificate does not match the URL.

Dan, clear all your cookies, and check that your security settings are at "medium." I just went to your gallery, bought photos, added to cart, and it was fine. FF and IE on Win.

Dan, try to replicate the problem. We fixed this last night, we're pretty certain. Pls test again on your site and let me know if you have troubles. BTW, don't forget: clear all your cookies, logout, etc.

    Communities and custom themes
If you use a personal theme for a gallery and it's part of a community, it won't get the theme.

This was driving me crazy (and I, in turn, drove Andy and the SM help team crazy with it.) I'm pretty sure I've finally figured it out. I reported it as a bug, but perhaps it's just a change. Anyway, people who are active in communities will want to know about it.
    If not now, when?

It's been logged in our bug system, Don knows about it.

replace photo not working - is it just me?
anyone else tried replacing a photo in the past few hours?

i've used it in the past with no problem, but today, my two attempts at replacing two different images have not been successful. it seemed to take the usual time to upload, but when it finished uploading, it left me at a totally blank screen, with the URL staying at http://upload.smugmug.com/photos/replace.mg - the source of that page was just this:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></HEAD>
    <BODY></BODY></HTML>

these are the images that failed to be replaced:

    http://jamescalder.smugmug.com/photos/35948482-L.jpg

the images in question have not been replaced as of at least an hour ago i think. is it SM or is it me?

andy - sorry, took me a while to figure out how to get the link with gallery (coz the two galleries were set to protected and filmstrip) - here you go:

No problem. I went to this gallery:
    http://jamescalder.smugmug.com/gallery/807204

And duped the 1st photo by "make 2nd copy" then I replaced that photo (the dupe) with a photo of my dog. Seems to be working fine. Let's try this:

clear all your cookies and your temp files. Log out. Close browser. Re-open, log back in and try again. Let me know.

PS: Feel free to delete Natasha's pic :cry

andy - it's all good now. but it was user error, not cookies etc.

when i was browsing by files to choose the repalcement photo, i had been picking the .crw file instead of the .jpg
    :hide

but thanks for the help anyway!

so i guess i have a follow-up suggestion based on my experience - can the "replace photo" process provide a helpful error page telling bozos like me not to try and upload any but the accepted file types?

    thumb.gif

    j

p.s. with great guilt and sadness, i deleted natasha's pic

Not a bug. Themes do not work on communities which have custom cobranding, otherwise the CSS collides and bad things happen.
