    Thanks for taking the time to show that to us, really really appreciate it.

    No worries.

    I wasn't sure where the stylers wanted their theme bugs, thanks for the move.

    Caption problem when uploading via email
    I just bought a new phone and tried emailing a photo to smugmug from the phone. Just for kicks, I included some non-ascii characters in the caption. And what do you know, they got garbled :):

    It seems the phone encodes messages in UTF-8.

    Here's the picture: http://scala.smugmug.com/gallery/192721 (nothing to see there except the garbled chars :)

    I also noticed that the smugmug help page on uploading via email is not up to date. There's a mention of clicking "account settings" on the homepage when logged in. I couldn't find such a link.

    I sent this bug report via email as well.

    Just keeping you guys busy, that's all :)

    There's no additional body class (just bodyColor_Black or presumeably bodyColor_White) on the password prompt pages. This results in trouble for people having customized headers for categories, like David reported over here.

    This won't always be possible due to the way the page is constructed (and the fact that LOTS of pages have not been redesigned and still don't have any classes at all - search, sharegroups, etc).

    The best way to solve this is to make sure you have a default header class set for pages that don't have anyway of determining what page you are on.

    Long comment bug
    I think this bug was introduced on the 23 Feb release. In FF 1.5 on OS X, after the comment is too long to be viewed all at once, additional typing causes only the first few lines to show instead of the last few lines.
    If not now, when?

    captcha wtf
    For once a site that employs capthas that I can't make my usual accessibility complaint about. (if you're visiting a smugmug site you clearly aren't using a screen reader... or at least you're not getting much out of the experience anyway.) But seriously, wtf is this supposed to be?

    I had this problem with 1.5 on other sites... 1.5.0.1 doesn't demonstrate it, at least not on smugmug.

    originals display bug
    so if preferred size is set to original..

    1) filmstrip displays the original size photo, original shows in the size picker (old style size picker) and the body class is set to Original
    57930091-L.jpg

    2) slideshow displays the large image, size picker says large but the body class says Original.

    beta uploader can't count
    i know Don has asked for details when the beta uploader reports an incorrect number of files uploaded...so here's as much as i have.

    9:22AM EST uploaded the 2 photos in my previous post by drag & drop :

    http://upload.smugmug.com/photos/add.mg?AlbumID=1142062

    slideshow_original.png
    filmstrip_original.png

    beta uploader reported 3 files uploaded:
    57931432-M.jpg

    looking at the filenames assigned after the upload, it gives a little insight into what the problem might be...

    filmstrip_original.png -> 57930091-O.png
    slideshow_original.png -> 57930094-O.png

    external linking...from outside smugmug only?
    question more than a bug...when i turn of external linking on a gallery, is that for any site other than mine or only for domains outside of smugmug.com?

    just curious on how this guy http://www.sundiegostudios.smugmug.com/ could be linking buttons from one of my galleries with linking disabled.

    Some EXIF hidden
    The exif info of images in this gallery: http://www.majakorpi.net/gallery/1233893 does not fit in the popup window that is opened with the standard link:
    javascript:window.open('http://scala.smugmug.com/photos/newexif.mg?ImageID=57800719','exif57800719','toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=yes,width=350,height=500'); void('');

    And as the code says, there will be no scrollbars available to see the rest of the content. The window can be resized but that is not very convenient.

    You just grab the corner of the popup box. But as JT says we're looking at new ways to possibly display the exif.

    Thanks thumb.gif

    I think you're seeing on IM right now that I can see all your pics even though external linking is apparently disabled.

    photo replace has no response?
    This maybe an issue with camino as it doesn't happen with firefox, but after replacing an image (say because you were a twit and didn't turn on the option to include your exif when you exported) camino just sits there with an empty white window. View source indicates it has none. The replacement seems to have worked, you just don't go anywhere when it's done.

    i've had this happen a ton of times as well. ffx and IE. the image is NOT replaced in my case.

    the only reason i say a TON of times is i probably do a lot more replacements than the average person because of updating the graphics for my themes.

    I wasn't sure at first that it was replacing, since I was uploading "the same" image (just with added exif I hoped, silly me has learned that a new program I inserted in my workflow has zero respect for exif data :cry)... so I did a test in a gallery with a completely different image before posting, it definently replaced.

    bug in sales report?
    Hi,

    I sold the same photo (actually a collage) to 3 people. Then realized there was a mistake in it. I went through the sales report to find out who had bought it. Then I deleted the collage and uploaded the new one. When I went back to the sales report those 3 sales were gone. I don't believe you want it to work that way. The sales still exist.
