Some kind of carpool sounds like a good idea, but I don't know if anyone from my area is going.

If anyone wants to fly into a big airport along the way and split a rental I'm game.

Stay tuned, in a few months time, David will be organizing rental cars, car pooling, etc. It'll be in a separate thread.

There is always the train to get to Glacier park. Amtrak has a station right in West Glacier. I will look at it to get there from Minnesota.

For any dgrinners coming from abroad - Calgary, Alberta is about a 3 or 4 hour drive from Glacier. I will drive from Edmonton in either our Honda Accord or our minivan - could pick people up. Not sure how this would work wrt visas if any are necessary, but it is something to think about.

    Another option might be Seattle.

From Seattle, its only $78 each way via Amtrack. But then again, you have to sit on the train for 16 hours.

    UPDATE:

As of now, all 2-person rooms are taken. This may change as people change their own minds about coming, but for now, if you want a 2-person room, you'll be on a waiting list.

So: if a cabin's OK, then send the deposit and let me know you want a 2-person room. If a cabin's NOT ok, then just let me know you want on the waiting list.

Well I've got some bad news for everyone, We're in.(Kate and I) Paypal has been sent.

We've been to Glacier a few times, but never in the fall, so this should be a nice change.

At this point, we have 11 spots left. Like I said, all 2-bunkers are taken. Cabins are available.

I just signed up myself and my friend Chris.

Guess we'll have a cabin. Not sure how this works since there are just two of us, but if needed we'll foot the bill for the whole thing. Or do we need to find a third?

See y'all in a year (almost).

argh timing sucks, if there is still a spot open in a couple weeks I'll be in. Have to wait for the bank account to replenish itself after buying the car.

I could be anywhere from Brisbane to Belgium next September, and employed as anything from a bike courier to a junior faculty member. I've really got the future narrowed down, eh?
    lol3.gif

So sadly, I can't commit to something like this so far ahead.

Gary just spent $3950.00 cash on a car. Add in my regular bills, and my obsession with not letting my bank account fall below a certain $$$$ amount (which it is right now) and that makes 2 weeks till I'll have the extra $250.00 for the deposite. I wanna send the money right now but gotta make sure my bills are paid.
