Re: vote for challenge 39 winner
Not yet! Quite interesting to see the vote results of the last 10 challenges. I thought we had a peek with last times 117, but the turnout of Ch32 was even higher. Ch38: 117 (one) Ch37: 97 (patterns+repetition) Ch36: 89 (lit by flashlight) Ch35: 89 (the seven deadly sins) Ch34: 113 (minimalism) Ch33: ? (emotions) Ch32: 118… -
Re: Addition to my Kids portrait - C & C please...
i was seriously frustrated.... 89 views but only one comment....for my picture... same time... so much worried... "If its not worthy, if they comment me to improve...then i will be very happy..but if you didn't get anything..i feel bad... now happy and feeling good... bow thank you.... super star:davidto -
Re: Digital SLR Cameras - How does yours rate?
I agree; that's why I dropped the value assesment from the rating as each person has their own value. If you look at the D700 it rates amongst the highest if you drop the value piece. (95% vs 89%). ...like I said, this list is just a compilation of reviews in one place and is interesting at the very least. -
Re: JDRF Fund Raiser
Thanks. No portaiture... Well, I did run it on 1 photo of a gal with blotchy skin. All the others I ran a couple actions I created. Not that sharpens and adds contrast. The other is a curves adjustment that pushes the overall brightness of the shot. Maybe 5 min avg on each, times 89 images.... Yes, it's a steal. -
DSS #89 - Early Cameras
Took a few shots today of early cameras, which think fits the theme of early better than the new fern frond. Would appreciate comments on which shot is better, and especially if can process better (had to process out background clutter). #1 Kodak Folding Cameras [IMG][/img] #2 Kodak Brownie Six-20 [IMG][/img] -
Re: California Sierra Nevada - Autumn 2006
Thanks for the comments. The closest I was to Quincy was South Lake Tahoe. The pictures I took along highway 89 was the sretch between highway 50 and highway 88 (south of Tahoe). There were about 30 people photographing that old cabin as well as two people painting and one television crew, all from the side of the road. -

Re: Stored Memory holderthingamajig
I bought a Wolverine FlashPac 7000 (60GB version) at Fry's Electronics (brick&mortar in California, not available online) a few weeks ago for $139 with a $50 rebate making it $89 after rebate. It's working out pretty good so far. Here are links to it at B&H and Amazon, however it's a bit more expensive at these online… -
Re: The Catchall Thread
2009 is looking great already! Clear skies, temperatures in the properly freezing zone... I was about done with the constant cloud cover anyway. I'm putting a best of 2008 gallery together - and having a nice bit of trouble culling the sho..long list down to something viewable. Standing at 'bout 90. Edit: is 89 too many? -
