What I want to know is why did they go through the armpits of America?

    It makes good television?

Thanks Cpt. Obvious. I knew either you or Doc would chime in with that. Still though, it makes us look bad.

Makes you look bad? Now that's an understatement.

I found a guy who has the entire episode.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJwX0MfFIE4
I only get 8 minutes worth when I load that up headscratch.gif
I don't get how these guys don't know what cars they could get cheap. You can get 1980's and late 70's Mercedes diesels for under $1000 all day.
that wouldn't be funny, now would it? and certainly not worth coming to Alabama for. FYI: used cars can be had even cheaper in the EU thanks to very strict recycling laws. Many dealers will almost pay you to take them because it costs them to have them recyclced. Did you see the episode where Jeremy picked up a pretty decent Volvo for 1.00 pound?

    I do remember that Volvo.

And I think it would make for good TV if two of them bought the clunkers and one of them bought a straight and clean 300D.

Yes, only 8 minutes worth, but notice how it says part 1/7. That youtuber has all 7 parts (and at the end of the clip one of the two suggested videos is always the next part).

True, but note that I said "us." Collectively, I think there are enough Andy's to more than make up for the people like me, yourself, doc, dragon, and zac every now and again. :ivar So on the whole, it makes use look bad.

Yes it is a 530i. Will my bilstein sports work with those H&R springs? I thought I needed a bigger drop...

No, you can use Bilstein sports with stock spring even. They are just shorter internally so you won't bottom out when you lower the car. Bilstein Sports with those H&R's would be fine.

Anybody have any thoughts on Spax PSX versus Bilstein HD (AFAIK you cant get the sports for my application in the US) for a 1985 380SE with H&R's?

I've heard stay away from anything with Spax on it... your shock will have a much shorter lifespan.

    Thanks for the heads up.

BTW, if any of you have a good computer, you really need to check out these GT Legends and GTR 2 video games. I know I mentioned them earlier, but that was only when I had the demo, now I have the full version. My goodness, these games are so accurate and realistic. Finally a video game that both has good graphics and good physics/game play.

Just picked up a spare motor for my brothers car for $300! This one is our boost project for the summer :)

These motors can take 20psi on stock internals with just an MLS head gasket. Hello 450whp!

I just hope it doesn't turn out like the motor that came in your car.

The ideal motor to boost I think is the M88. Race M1's were able to get about 850hp off that motor.

I've got some junky tools (Evercraft...NAPA brand made in Taiwan) that I bought when I needed them in a pinch, but I have a since replaced them with decent tools.

So, yours for cost of shipping rounded up to the nearest dollar:
    1/4" combination wrench
6, 10, and 17mm combination wrences (may have a 13mm too, but I'd have to check).
Let me know if you want them.

I do have paypal. I'll get a quote on shipping tomorrow (the PO is closed today for President's day).

    BTW, I made a mistake, I don't have a 6mm...so definitley a 17mm, 10mm, and 1/4", maybe a 13mm (I keep forgetting to check if I brought that one down with me, they're in my car).

Sorry, I didn't have time to do it today. I'll do it tomorrow for sure. It's a 10mm, 17mm, 1/4" and 5/16" by the way.

Ok all I really care about is the 10mm since 90% of the nuts and bolts in a BMW is 10mm.

Yeah, I gotta say, I'm with antrieb here (btw...apparently your name is extremely technical, so far no German has been able to explain it to me in english, including my AT teach for German class...I guess I'll have to ask the professor).

He drives a VW actually (the AT teacher is just a student at the school who happens to be from Germany...come to think of it even the professor, also from Germany originally, drives a VW).
