Never much been into photography but with my dad being so ill I realized I only have one of two decent pictures of him. This has gotten me much more interested/involved in recording our lives through images.
I have an inexpensive HP M22 camera that does an okay job, I'm hoping to learn more about digital photography here and maybe upgrade to something a little more capable.

To those who know me from ADV, yo. And, to those who don't know me, nice to meet you.
I live in Knoxville, TN with my heterosexual life mate and our 10-month old son, Jackson. I currently go to school, work for a friend's photography company, make sure The Boy gets fed and has a clean diaper, and generally keep the house from imploding.
The only self-portraits I have are pregnancy belly shots, and I promise you don't want to see those.

yeah yeah, that makes sense...but you wrote "heterosexual." first time i've heard that. i've got lotsa friends that are homosexual that live together...and even one couple that have a kid...but never heard hetero before...

I'm new to DSLRs and just bought my 1st entry level Nikon D40 with 18-55 lens and i bought a 55-200mm lens as well.
I've been using the MANUAL mode on my point & shoot for a while now do going to a DSLR was the next step for me...
I'm just on a learning path now...shooting anything and everything with all different models and options... etc..
Hope so share some photos with your guys and hope to learn lots and improve... I also hope I can contribute to the site.
